The Body Shop Colour Crush Eye Shadow Bronze Bliss Review

Of late, I have become a big fan of eye makeup. Earlier, I was just glued to ounces of eyeliners, mascaras and kajal. Quite recently, I have started indulging in eye shadows and it’s a pretty a good journey! Personally, I feel that eye palettes are a good investment, as it covers so many shades in one shot being reasonably priced! However when I popped in to The Body Shop last month, I was relatively intrigued after checking out its colour crush collection. I have always indulged into TBS bath and body range, but the makeup range is quite impressive.

As many of you would know, TBS has a vast range of colour crush products and shades. From lipsticks, nail paints to eye shadows, there are plenty of amazing shades to choose. I have picked a few nail paints and a lipstick but for today, I am reviewing Colour Crush Eye Shadow – Bronze Bliss. It is one of the most versatile shades I have come across. Be it for parties, casual meets or even in office, this shade perfectly suits every occasion. For more details, read on

My Experience with The Body Shop Colour Crush Eye Shadow Bronze Bliss:

Eye shadows work great to create a real fashion statement, reflecting your attitude and moods. And as there are umpteen brands and shades to choose from, the options in the market would make you mad! TBS colour crush eye shadows comes in range of matte and shimmer colours and this is a bright bronze shimmer, which would add oodles of oomph to your look. The shade is packed in a round pan plastic container with a transparent lid. The details of the product are finely available on the back of the eye shadow. To know the ingredients of the product, you need to flip over the paper (as shown in the image). The product is of 1.5 grams, so basically it’s quite convenient for travel but it would finish rather quickly. It’s compact and sturdy as well to go a long way!

It is basically a light brown colour, with good shimmery tones. The pigmentation is something you can vouch for! I have a typical Indian medium skin tone and this shade suits me perfectly. It has a smooth texture, which makes our job easy to apply. It is easy to blend and works well to build up layers of colour. If you want to get a subtle look, just one stroke is good to go, however for evening meets, you can build up the intensity with a couple of more strokes. And yes, this shade would wonderfully blend with smoky look.

It is a powder based eye shadow, so you need to be very careful, as it has a tendency to fall out while brushing over it. Just sweep over a little and dab the excess right over the shade and it is good enough to get settled over the eye lids. It will easily stay for 5-6 hours and might stay longer if a good primer is used. As the shade is not very stubborn, it is quite convenient to remove with a gentle makeup remover. It is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested and it is also suitable for contact lens wearers.

Just to experiment, I did try to wet this eye shadow and it worked fine. You need to lightly mist the eye shadow/blending brush and then blob into the shade. Pat a few easy strokes on eye lids and you can build up as much as you like (you can set with a makeup setting spray too). As the shadow already has shimmer, it would give a very starry look which would suit mostly evening meets.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase The Body Shop Colour Crush Eye Shadow Bronze Bliss again?

Oh, Why not! It can be used during several different kinds of occasions. I have suggested my sister to buy as it is available in India. I may not buy this shade but choose another from its collection.
