The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick – Blushing Pink

Hello Beautiful Ladies, Today I will be reviewing a lip product from Body Shop and it is one of their colour crush lipsticks. This lipstick comes in many different shades, and the one I selected is called blushing pink. Last week I went to The body shop as I read the big banner which said ‘Up to 50% off’ and I wanted to grab some deals. I am a fan of their products and so wanted to stock up few things that I use regularly, but unfortunately those were not on discount. But I didn’t want to leave the store without buying anything, so I asked them that what all is on discount and the lady took me to the cosmetic counter from where I selected one lipstick that was on 50% discount. While I was just planning to leave the store I saw these lipsticks and the packaging attracted me and I brought 2 of these, though they were not on discount.

Price: Rs. 795

Packaging: Packaging was the first thing that attracted me towards these lipsticks. The lipstick comes in a metallic silver base with a transparent reddish pink cap. The whole packaging is cute and sturdy too, it at least looks beautiful on the vanity. The shade number is mentioned on the base of the lipstick, but unfortunately the name of the shade is not mentioned on the lipstick, it is only mentioned on a sticker which gets teared while opening the lipstick.

Ingredients: List of ingredients is not mentioned on the lipstick, but it can be seen on internet.

My take on The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick Blushing Pink

Color: Blushing pink as the name suggests is a beautiful shade of pink. It is a kind of bubblegum pink, which can easily be used for a daily purpose. The color is free of shimmers and looks really natural on the lips. There was no particular reason behind selecting this color, except the fact that it is pink, and I can never have enough pink lipsticks. This particular one is a perfect everyday color for me.

Pigmentation: The color is decently pigmented for a soft pink. The color looks more pigmented when swatched on hand as compared to when actually applied, but 2-3 swipes give complete color. Never try to swipe the lipstick multiple times in order to get a better color, as the color may look a bit cakey and clumped after multiple swipes. Texture: I was amazed by the smoothness with which this glides on my lips. It is extremely soft to apply and thus does not take much time in application. The lipstick has a non sticky formulation which feels extremely light on lips. The color is moisturizing too and so I personally do not need a lip balm beneath this. Staying Power: Staying power of the color is average. It stays for around 3 hours with light meals and water and becomes completely invisible after a full meal. The color does not stain lips and hence not even a little tint of color is visible after a full meal.

Fragrance: The lipstick is slightly scented and personally I loved the scent. It is kind of a sweet rosy smell. Although I like my lip products to be free of any kind of fragrance, but this is definitely an exception. I am in love with the fragrance and I can actually feel it long after the application of the color.

• Might look weird after multiple swipes
• Decent staying power, although at this price, I wanted the color to stay for a bit longer

Would I buy The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick Blushing Pink again?

Not this color, but after trying this, I might go and get some other colors (which are not shades of pink)
