I know that all you girls are lipstick lovers, me too. I have always loved lipsticks more than any other cosmetic products. So today I am here to review a lipstick from The Body Shop Colour Crush range. I have always been hesitant to use bright shades in lipstick. Initially I was more into brown and maroons which changed its course to nudes and lighter shades. Recently my colour sense has turned to the brighter side. So lets see how bright and beautiful this shade is going to be.

My experience with The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick- Passionate Pink #205
Colour- It is a bright pink with hints of coral in it. In daylight it is a mix of pink and coral in equal proportions, while in artificial lighting it looks like a bright neon pink. Even though it is a bright colour it has warm undertones to it. It is quite a tricky colour to explain but nonetheless a beautiful one. This shade is similar to Mac Impassioned which is more creamier.
Texture- TBS describes it as a matte lipstick but to me its more like a satin matte with a luminous touch to it. It glides on smoothly without any friction and is light-weight too. This lipstick has a similar texture to Diana of London Surprise lipstick in Red Rose which was reviewed earlier.
Finish- It gave me an even smooth finish without settling into the fine lines of my lips. It does not accentuate dry patches of your lips, but it is always best to exfoliate your lips to remove any unwanted dry flakes. Even though it not creamy in nature it provides ample moisturization to your lips
Pigmentation and Coverage- It is a highly pigmented lipstick which deposits 90% colour in a single swipe. It is a buildable colour which gives you a semi-opaque finish. This lipstick will cover light pigmentation but not highly pigmented lips. There is excellent colour payoff but the luminous finish of this lipstick makes it impossible to hide high pigmentation.
The lipstick does not transfer much on cups and mugs due to its satin matte finish and also does not feather and bleed.
Staying Power- It has an amazing staying power as it stayed around 5 to 6 hours on my lips with light snacking in between. The colour stays put through light snacks and after a heavy meal the colour fades just a bit leaving an even pink stain. I had to use a make up remover to remove the stain of this lipstick.
There are three types of finishes in the Colour Crush range- matte , pearlescent and sparkly. And personally I feel that matte is the best because other two finishes does not have much colour payoff.
Packaging- It has a normal packing with a silver base and a pink translucent cap with TBS written on it. The base of the lipstick just shows a number and not the colour of the lipstick. There is nothing exceptional about the packing but it is sturdy enough to carry around in your vanity.
I am in love with the texture and colour of this lipstick. There is a bright glow to my face when I wear this shade and it definitely perks up a dull looking face. I usually wear a simple eye make up with this lipstick. So all you matte lipstick lovers out there should definitely check this shade especially if you love bright colours. This shade is suitable for all skin tones if you love bright colours and can carry them well.
