Skin Type- Combination to Oily; Sensitive Skin – No
The Body Shop Drops of Light launched a while back and I have been enjoying the whole range comprising of the face wash, serum and the day cream. I do miss a night cream in the range but nevertheless these three are power packed combo and I am addicted to them. Here is the review on the Pure Healthy Brightening Day Cream from the range.
Price – Rs 2050/- for 50ml
A lightweight, yet nourishing day cream clinically proven to significantly reduce the number, size and intensity of dark spots.
– Provides hydration, for softer, smoother skin
– Instantly, skin texture feels smoother, softer and re-plumped with moisture
– After 4 weeks, skin appears brighter, healthier and skin tone is even and clarified
My Experience with The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Day Cream:
The packaging of the cream is white and classy but not very user/travel friendly. It is bulky and made of glass, so is almost impossible to travel with. The tub and the outer paper carton is white in color with hints of pink here and there that denotes the main ingredients, Red Algae. The packaging is not very user friendly as there is always a hygiene factor that comes into play. There is a protective shield to the cream which ensures there is no spillage.
The texture is one of the best features of the product. The rich yet lightweight cream consistency is a pleasure on the skin. Only a wee bit of the product goes a long way and hence the steep pricing is somewhat justified. On massaging, the cream gets absorbed in no time at all giving a healthy brightened look to the face instantly. Using it for over a month has definitely improved my skin texture.
I really do not buy whitening claims but this range has surprised me pleasantly. My skin thanks me every single time I pamper my skin with it. It has a mild fragrance to begin with but it settles to a cosmetic fragrance in some time. It gives an instant boost of glow and brightness to the skin but does not make the skin oily or cause and breakout. It gets absorbed super fast but the moisturizing effect stays on till the next wash. Other than the packaging, I have only good things to say about the cream; good job again The Body Shop!
Pros of The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Day Cream:
• Lovely texture.
• Nice fragrance.
• Moisturizes skin.
• Really brightens skin.
• No breakout.
• Absorbs in a jiffy.
Cons of The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Day Cream:
• Tub packaging.
• Heavy packaging; difficult to carry.
IMBB Rating – 4.5/5
