TBS body lotions are a good option for those who do not like heavy body butters.  In summers and on humid days, body butters are a little too much for my skin and that’s when these wonderfully fragranced body lotions come to my rescue.  I am going to review The Body Shop’s Early Harvest Raspberry Body Lotion for you today 🙂 Do read on 🙂

My Experience with The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Body Lotion:

I love everything about this body lotion – the consistency, texture, fragrance and how it works on my skin too.  The body butter from the same range had a strong fragrance, but the body lotion smells really nice and good.  The packaging is the usual TBS body lotion packaging with a lock mechanism cap which you can turn sideways to lock or open.  It’s a spill-proof packaging, so yay, you can travel with it.

While the body butter version is heavy and good only for winters, this rich body lotion will provide hydration and moisturization to your skin throughout the year without being heavy on the skin.  The consistency is thick and runny, which spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving much greasiness on top.  On hot and humid days, I do not feel the need to reapply through the day.  This body lotion leaves the skin smooth and soft, but it won’t be able to soften out the rough patches on the elbows and knees, you would need body butter for that.

This body lotion is good enough to hydrate and moisturize the skin on normal days, but it would fall short in winter months.  I am currently using it and loving how it keeps my skin moisturized, I already said that, didn’t I?  Also, it clears off dry patches on the skin.

The fragrance is light, fruity, and does not feel OTT.  I see it finishing up soon because I apply it lavishly to smell fruity and like raspberries. Another good thing about this product is that it is cruelty-free and made with community trade ingredients.  They have also mentioned that they have made this lotion out of raspberries picked early in the season, isn’t it amazing!

There’s not much to write about this lotion since it’s just like any other body lotion from TBS with the exception of a different fragrance.  I always have a bottle of TBS body lotion with me, just like the body butters I have to confess.  After finishing this, I will pick up another one!

Pros of The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Body Lotion:

• A good body lotion that hydrates and smooths skin.
• Smells nice, of raspberries (not strawberries, this time I am sure :P)
• Perfect consistency for a body lotion.
• Gets quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving any greasiness on top.
• Makes skin soft and smooth.
• Moisturizes and hydrates skin.
• Community trade ingredients.
• Not tested on animals.

Cons of The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Body Lotion:

• None majorly except that it does not work on rough areas of the skin like elbows and knees.
