The Body Shop Eye Definer Shade – Copper Brown Review

Hi Friends,

Hope all of you are enjoying the summer season with ravishing lassi and aam panna.  We are still experiencing cool cloudy summers here with light showers some time, hence our aam panna and lassi ideas are preserved inside the refrigerator 😀 Today, I am here to share another gift from my loving hubby which is a beautiful metallic eye pencil from TBS namely Copper Brown.  Just read on further to know about TBS Metallic Eye Definer Shade in Copper Brown.

My Experience with The Body Shop Eye Definer Shade – Copper Brown:

Let me confess first, I always develop a soft corner for gifted items even if they are not up to my expectations.  Well, if I rant negative about them, then my hubby will stop gifting.  This copper brown eye pencil is a dicey product for me. The shade is a beautiful cocoa mixed copper brown with golden shimmer.  A great pick for daily makeup as well as occasional parties. It goes well on water line as well as upper/lower eye lashes.  I am also happy to tell you that I did not notice any burning sensation while wearing it on my waterline, yay! I just feel that the texture of this eye pencil is highly creamy and soft, its really hard to sharpen it neatly without breaking the tip.  Sometimes, it also becomes messy on eyes due to its creamy texture.

Brown Eye Pencil 4

Considering its creamy texture, I was not sure about its stability on my eye lids as I have oily skin, but it manages to stay on my eyelids and waterline for good 3-4 hours without smudging; however, after a few more hours, it disappears from my eyes. I guess it will stay longer on dry or combination skinned beauties. It is really easy to remove this liner from the eyes, I just need to gently sweep damp cloth or cotton on eyes and it all comes in one attempt, no mess of make up remover or oil. I just feel the staying power could have been better and the texture could have been a little hard enough to get pointed tip for neat and precise eyes as for a beginner like me, its really hard to get defined line in just one attempt, that too with a blunt tip. I also think that I can get great liners from other drugstore brands at the price of this TBS metallic eye liner. Since, it is a dicey product for my oily skin, I won’t invest my money on TBS glosses and eye liners now.  I would love to try other brands and ranges as well.

Pros of The Body Shop Eye Definer Shade – Copper Brown:

  • Beautiful metallic copper brown shade with golden shimmer, suitable for daily use as well as parties.

  • It is 100% waterline safe, tried and tested by me.
  • It’s really easy to remove, comes off in just a wipe with damp cotton or cloth.
  • Stays for pretty 3-4 hours on my oily eye lids, it may stay for a few more hours on dry or normal eyelids.
  • The pencil comes with safety cap, hence easy to carry anywhere without any mess.

Cons of The Body Shop Eye Definer Shade – Copper Brown:

  • It is a creamy, soft pencil that I can’t sharpen it finely without breaking the tip at least once.
  • Due to its creamy soft tip, it becomes difficult to make a pointed and precise line along the lashes.
  • Staying power could have been better.
  • We have multiple cheaper and great options as compared to TBS ones.

I feel I won’t get it again as I am intersted in gel and liquid eye liners now. Moreover, it is not the best eye liner I ever used, just okay. I would get much better drugstore brand goodies at much lower price than this one. I hope you know my rating for this goodie.

Until next time, keep smiling 🙂
