THE BODY SHOP EYE DEFINER: VIBRANT EMERALD GREEN

Hi everyone,

Since the navartras are going on I know many of you must be fasting. But since it is good in both the aspects i.e. religiously as well as for the body, keep the good work going. Coming to today’s review, I have come up with an eye definer from the body shop. As I told you in my last post that I never had eye liners in colour other than black, so I decided to go for a change. I bought an emerald green eye definer pencil for my peepers.

Product description:
The eye definer pencil looks like just another pencil but with a green outer covering. The brand name is depicted in a silver mark. The lid is silver in shade. The texture of the pencil is on a softer edge.

Price: 395INR

Quantity: 1.25g

What the product claims:
The soft-textured eyeliner gives intense colour. It is easy to apply. Smudge-resistant, dermatologically tested and ophthalmologically tested

Shades available: there are other shade too on this category which can be tested and tried.

Directions of use: you can use it either ways I.e. on upper as well as lower lash line☺

Ingredients:
Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Emollient/Hair Conditioner), Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emollient), Mica (Opacifier), Ceresin (Stabiliser), Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Silica (Absorbent), Methicone (Skin Conditioning Agent), Tocopherol (Antioxidant). [+/- CI 77499 (Colour), CI 77007 (Colour), CI 77891 (Colour), CI 77491 (Colour), CI 77492 (Colour), CI 77510 (Colour)].

My take on the product:

I used to think that colours other than black and brown look weird on eye. But I guess it was a myth. After exploring different shades and seeing the reviews on IMBB I have realised that being a girl I should try different range of colours for my eyes as well as lips. The green colour of this eye definer is very pretty with a hint of shimmer in it. It is very soft in texture and glides easily on to the lids or under the water line. Though it says it has been tested but I did not try on my water line. You can have beautiful eyes by just one swipe. It lets your eye sparkle in a nice way which cannot be done by simple black liner. Staying power is too good ranging from 7-8 hours. I won’t say it stays like you applied a fresh one but the colour can be seen easily from morning to evening. It is not at all hard to remove i.e. it can be removed easily with a cleanser. It won’t leave any remnants behind after the removal. Talking of the water proof nature, I would say yes it is. True to its claims it doesn’t even smudge. All in all you would love to have it in your bag and help your lovely eyes to get a new charm.

What I liked about the product:

  •  Sharpenable
  •  Lovely green shade
  •  Texture is super soft
  •  Can be applied very easily
  •  Glides in a single stroke

What I disliked about the product:
Over all the product is good but the price is on the higher edge. An eye definer can be a bit cheap. Anyway, all the products from the body shop are a bit costly so this won’t be counted as a complaint.

Would I recommend its use to others?
Yes I would as you won’t mind having an eye definer with such a texture in your makeup pouch.

Until next time take care and do loads of shopping because the festive season has started.
