The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette Review

The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette

Hi Beauties,

I have been wanting to buy and use and review this product since a long time. Ever since the Raspberry range arrived in The Body Shop, I was instantly intrigued. And when I saw the various reviews of the products of this range on IMBB, I just had to have it. I am a sucker for fruity and sensual fragrances; and strawberries and raspberries are my most adored fragrances ever. Today , I will be reviewing the Eau de Toilette version of the Early Harvest Raspberry range.

My experience with The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette :

First of all, I must say that I am unhappy about the small amount of product which is being dispensed at such a huge price point. Having said that, I also need to add that this is one of the most fresh, luscious and yummy fruity fragrances I have used in a long time. The pleasure is totally mine.
The EDT comes in a small, compact glass bottle, having a spritz nozzle and covered with a silverish cap; and can be carried along with you on journeys. The size of the bottle is such that it can be easily held in one hand. The bottle is extremely simplistic in design and contains red colored product inside. The spritz nozzle is very easy to use, and allows a perfect amount of perfume to be sprayed. The fragrance is so fresh and fruity, just like raspberries. The fragrance is not at all heady or strong or overly sweety; in fact it does smell exactly like fresh, genuine raspberries; without any other additional fragrances added to it. It smells exactly like a fresh raspberry jam or like a fruit orchard. It feels extremely juicy on a hot, parched day; and gives off a fragrance like the lollies which children love to suck. It is mild, fresh, fruity, and definitely applicable for summers.
The odour does not last last very long on my skin. After the top notes have gone; a mild pleasant fragrance remains for around 3-4 hours on the skin; while it lasts just around 5-6 hours on my clothes. Considering the money I had spent of the product; I had actually expected a greater longevity. Silage is fairly minimal, and although it starts off pretty good; unfortunately, the first full flush of scent doesn’t last long. I had earlier used the White Musk Smoky Rose body mist from The Body Shop earlier; and that one was mind blowing in its longevity. Compared to that; I had actually expected this EDT version to last much longer. But I was really a bit disappointed by its staying power. I apply it early in the morning after a shower at around 7 am; and I have to reapply it again every 3-4 hourly; which is really too much of a hassle. However, if I use it with the other products in this range; the fragrance really lasts long.

Pros of The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette

• Easily available
• Packaging is sturdy.
• Lovely fresh fruity, raspberry fragrance.
• Does not feel too strong or nauseous.
• Does not irritate the skin at all.
• Product is 100% vegetarian.

Cons of The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette:

• Expensive for the amount contained.
• Glass bottle is fragile and not very travel friendly.
• Does not last long at all; either on skin or on clothes.

IMBB Rating: 3.8/ 5 ( simply because of its poor longevity)

Will I recommend The Body Shop Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette?

Yes, I will; but only in combination with the other products of this range. Together; they will create a fragrance; fruity, fresh, and natural; which will last for quite some time on your skin. But I would still recommend that you think about it; and if you are an extremely avid lover of this fragrance and not averse to applying it very often; and also a fan of the other products in this range; you may surely go ahead and purchase it.
