The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub Review
By Pratiksha S.
A warm hello to all,

After being an ardent reader and follower of the Indian Makeup and Beauty Blog, finally after 3 years, I have gathered the courage to step into the writer’s shoes. I have recently completed my graduation this year and before I pursue my further foreign studies, I wanted to give writing a try as it is my long-time hobby and if writing is my hobby, staying beautiful is every girl’s birthright 😉 And the place where beauty meets writing is nowhere else than IMBB. I would love to thank Rati maam , Sanjeev sir and to all the other editors and IMBB’ians for giving me a chance to share my views and post my articles on this blog. Okay, putting a full stop to my sentimental thoughts and speech, sounding like thank you note, I would now begin my very first review on IMBB.
The product I would be reviewing today is from The Body Shop. It’s because of IMBB that I have come to know that something called TBS exists in the beauty world. The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub is the hero of my today’s post. It’s winter season and probably the most loveliest season of the year and TBS is my beauty hub every winter from the last two years (thanks to IMBB). The “Honeymania” range is one of my personal favourites, so I decided to review this body scrub for all of you.

Price:
1,195 INR for 200 ml.
Packaging:
A wide-mouthed tub.
Product Description:
This exfoliating body scrub has a rich, floral scent. Each pot contains Community Fair Trade honey made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers. It gently sweeps away dead skin cells to leave skin feeling silky soft. Lifts away dead skin cells. Helps stimulate skin surface microcirculation – Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother – Rich, floral scent.

My Discovery:
I discovered this product a month ago when TBS was running a 50% discount on body butters. I flew at rocket speed to The Body Shop outlet nearby to stock on a few body butters for myself. I saw the “Honeymania” range with three of its product on 20% sale. I had already fell head-over-heels for the aroma of this range and now this discount, yummy!! truly a “honeylicious” deal made for me!!!! So, I did not hesitate to buy a body scrub, a body butter and a shower gel from this range.
My Experience with The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub:
The scrub comes in a wide-mouthed transparent tub having an orangish-yellow screw lid. The lid bears a photo of bee hive section oozing out fresh honey mmmm….delicious depiction, isn’t it? Coming to the body scrub itself, as already mentioned, the scrub is a light yellow cream having minute and tiny granules. The aroma is sweet, floral, fruity, just like the other honeymania products. However, I would like to mention that unlike the body butter tub, the body scrub tub does not burst out with the fragrance on opening.
As I have already mentioned, the scrub is creamy making it ideal for winters. The granules are very minute thus I don’t feel they provide adequate exfoliation which we usually expect from an ideal body scrub. The granules seem to melt away when you try to rub it onto your skin. The scrubbing effect is very very mild and may not be liked by many.
Talking about its moisturizing property, being on the creamy side, the scrub showcases impressive moisturization. It leaves my skin soft and smooth. Sometimes, I don’t even feel the need of topping my skin with a body lotion or body butter. The fragrance lingers on my skin for a while, but vanishes soon when used alone.
Pros of The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub:
- Cruelty-free product.
- Moisturizing (considering it’s a scrub).
- Would suit sensitive skin as it is not at all harsh.
- Floral, sweet, fruity fragrance.
Cons of The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub:
- Poor exfoliating properties.
- Fragrance doesn’t last long.
- Tub packaging.
- A bit expensive *can make your skin feel greasy.
IMBB Rating:
Exfoliation: 2 1/2 out of 5
Moisturization: 4 out of 5
Fragrance: 3 out of 5
Packaging: 2 out of 5
Overall Rating:
3/5
Would I Recommend The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub?
Yes, but to those who have sensitive skin.
Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Honeymania Cream Body Scrub?
Hmmm, I may not or get it only during winters.
I hope you guys found my review helpful. I wish to write many more reviews for IMBB, till then waiting for all your comments and feedback. Thank you and stay beautiful girls!!!
