The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet Review

Hello to all the beautiful ladies,

Today, I have another Body Shop product for you. 😀 You all know that I love to try out new moisturizers and love to review them too. 😀 For me, they are not just little luxuries but a necessity for my super dry skin. Good-looking skin is a must have for all of us. The Body Shop makes excellent body butters but they become a bit heavy for summers, so today, I have got another moisturizing product which is specifically for summers, yes, another body sorbet. 😀 This time the mango variant. 🙂

My Experience with The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet:

The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet comes in an inverted tube (of 200 ml). The tube is matte and is transparent, so you always know when you are running out of the product. It has a flip open cap which closes with a click, but I don’t feel that the cap is sturdy enough for traveling. So, we can transfer it into another smaller packing to be taken on travels. The tube packing is really convenient and hygienic as it means no dipping of our hands in the tub.

The texture of the sorbet is whipped like some mousse or smoothie. It is semi-opaque. On application, it spreads like a gel. Though it kind of rolls a little bit on the skin and does take some time to get absorbed into the skin, but it rubs in well and smells awesome, like the mango popsicle. I really have to remind myself again and again that the product is not edible. 😛 The fragrance is light and fruity and perfect for summers, but it doesn’t stay on me for more than a couple of hours. Sad!!! 🙁

The product is non sticky and non greasy. It is best applied on damp skin, when we come just out of shower. It does feel cool and refreshing on skin when applied. TBS says you can pop it up in the fridge for more cooling. I would be trying that for sure when summers are here. The hydration is good enough for normal skin. It keeps my skin soft and moisturized without any stickiness or greasiness.

Though, I do feel the need to apply some thicker lotion on dry areas like elbows, knees and my super dry feet.

Pros of The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet:

  • Awesome juicy mango fragrance.
  • Fragrance is not very strong.
  • Provides hydration without any greasiness or stickiness.
  • Cruelty free.
  • Mango smoothie like texture 😛

Cons of The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet:

  • Dry skin would need more moisture, this won’t be enough.
  • Takes some time to gets absorbed into skin.
  • Scent fades over time.

4/5

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Mango Body Sorbet?

Though I need additional hydration for my dry skin, I still loved it and would be repurchasing it for sure. If you have very dry skin, this would not be hydrating enough for you. But it would still be an amazing after sun lotion which provides cooling and freshness. But normal skin beauties would be able to use it round the year, it does not provide too much cooling that it cannot be used during winter.
