Skin Type- Combination to Oily; Sensitive Skin – No
Any new launches in my favorite beauty brands excites me and this warming mask from The Body Shop is no exception. Unlike the existing warming mask from TBS, this one comes with the benefit of ginger and with a unique texture. Let’s hop on to the review for more details.
INR 1295/- for 100 ml.
This cleansing mask for all skin types warms on contact with wet skin. It leaves skin clean and revitalised. Cleansing. Oil-absorbing. Weekly treatment. This is one of our beauty gems.
My Take on The Body Shop Mineral and Ginger Warming Massage Clay Mask:
The packaging is simple and typical of The Body Shop face masks. The packaging is handy and user friendly and has a lot of information printed on it. The color and get-up of the tube looks so soothing to the eyes. The flip top cap is an added advantage to the overall packaging.
The texture of the mask is unique. It is like a clay mask in lots of gooey oil base which glides on the face like a sticky layer of cream. It feels extremely warm on the skin and I was super scared the first time, but the warming sensation subsided pretty fast. It smells very much like ginger, but then it’s not pungent smelling. Do not expect it to make you feel cool like a normal clay mask as it never dries up. It will sit on the skin like a layer of gooey mass.
Washing off this mask takes a bit of effort, so I prefer using it before shower. It leaves a white cast on the skin after washing off which is bothersome for me. I want facial masks to leave my skin refreshed and deeply cleansed. I guess this mask is not for me as my demands are different from what this mask has to offer. I would definitely suggest trying it at the store to find out if you can tolerate the amount of warmth this mask provides. It does make the skin bouncy and healthy, but the cons would make me stay away from this product in future, maybe I will try it again in winters.
Pros of The Body Shop Mineral and Ginger Warming Massage Clay Mask:
- Handy tube packaging.
- Just a little quantity is required per use.
- Does not dry out face.
- Gives a good massage to the skin.
- Adds a healthy bounce to the skin.
Cons of The Body Shop Mineral and Ginger Warming Massage Clay Mask:
- Feels very warm initially, kind of uncomfortable.
- Expensive for the quantity.
- Not for sensitive skin.
- Leaves a white cast on the face.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend The Body Shop Mineral and Ginger Warming Massage Clay Mask?
Repurchase – nope, I really like super cleansing ones. This one leaves behind a layer which I dislike.
Recommend – not at all to sensitive skin. If you like warming masks, then try this but this is way too intense.
