The Body Shop Neroli Jasmin Body Mist Review

The Body Shop Neroli Jasmin Body Mist Review

The Neroli Jasmin came in as a gift in combination with the Neroli Jasmin Body Lotion.  I can’t thank my cousins enough for this heady floral mist. I am more of a EDP/ EDT person, but an occasional out of the world smelling body mist is more than welcome.

My Take on The Body Shop Neroli Jasmin Body Mist:

The Neroli Jasmine Body Mist comes in an orange-coloured plastic spray bottle with a transparent cap. The cap and the sprayer seem a little tacky to me even though I love the orange coloured see-through bottle. The mist itself is orange coloured. It looks like liquid amber in the bottle when seen in the sunlight.  The mist has a top note of neroli, freesia and violet leaf. The heart of the mist contains the heart notes of orange blossom, jasmin and white peony and base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, musk and amber. It is a sweet-smelling oriental body mist. It smells extremely sweet and floral. I loved using this body mist in the summer as it just upped my mood every time I sprayed it on.

The smell is not at all overpowering, but tends to linger on subtly.  On spraying, the fragrance is a little strong, but settles down to a mild floral smell. It makes me feel like I am sitting in a jasmine garden with the flowers in full bloom.  The staying power of the mist is really poor. It lasts for a maximum of 2 hours only. Frequent spraying is required to keep smelling fresh, but thankfully, the mist does not dry out the skin like some of the mists do.

Pros of The Body Shop Neroli Jasmin Body Mist:

  • The smell is very feminine, seductive and of Asian inspiration.
  • Makes you feel nice and fresh in summers.
  • Does not dry out the skin when sprayed directly on the body.
  • Not very highly priced.
  • The Body Shop does not believe in testing on animals which I appreciate.

Cons of The Body Shop Neroli Jasmin Body Mist:

  • Can be a little overpowering for those who do not like the smell of jasmine.
  • To get a lasting smell, quite a lot of quantity is required. This also means that it will get over sooner.
  • Staying power is really low.
  • I do not like the sprayer and the cap, they look very cheap.
