The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash Review

Hello Beautiful readers,

Foaming face washes are all the rage these days and every brand has at least one of these in their category, no wonder people get attracted to them and I was no exception. I picked up The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash for what the product claims.  Our certified organic range has been created for the first signs of ageing. This facial wash gently washes away impurities leaving skin feeling soft, smooth and revitalized. For a more energized and healthy looking complexion, we’ve included organic mallow flower and Community trade organic sugar and Babassu Oil.

  • Cleanses.
  • Refreshes.
  • Smoothes and revitalises skin.
  • 99% of ingredients are of natural origin.

Price:

INR 945 for 150 ml

Directions For Use:

Gently massage into the face using upward circular motions. Rinse with warm water. Use morning and evening.

Packaging:

This one comes in a white grey cylindrical bottle with a transparent lid. It has a pump dispenser with a wide nozzle to release the foam. A single pump dispenses enough froth for the face and neck on any regular day. The packaging is sturdy and I don’t have to worry about any leakages or clogging of the mouth of the pump as it happens with most other face washes. Carrying it all day along with you in a bag might be a problem because of its large size. When left unused for a day or two, you can hear the liquid inside on shaking just as in spray deodorants, but the product comes in a fizz at and looks like cake frosting.

TBS Facial Foam 2

Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Sucrose (Humectant), Glycerin (Humectant), Propanediol (Viscosity Modifier), Coco-Betaine (Skin Conditioning Agent), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), Coco-Glucoside (Surfactant), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Chloride (Viscosity Modifier), Sucrose Laurate (Skin Conditioning Agent), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Salicylic Acid (Preservative/Hair Conditioner), Parfum (Fragrance), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil (Emollient), Buddleja Davidii Extract (Skin Conditioning Agent), Thymus Vulgaris Extract (Natural Additive), Malva Sylvestris Flower Extract (Natural Additive), Arginine (Skin Conditioning Agent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative).

My Experience with The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash:

As I have mentioned, this is my first foaming face wash and was really excited to try it out as this was one product I couldn’t try at the store.  Initially, I had to pump a couple of times to get the product out after which it came out very easily. It came out as white foam just like the ones you get in those snow spray cans. I applied it on my damp face in circular motion and rinsed it off with warm water as directed. No need to worry about lather as it’s already in that form and neither does it require rubbing between your palms before application, an absolutely hassle-free task. I had been out in the sun and my face was itching with sweat and pollution. This face wash left my skin squeaky clean. My already dry skin didn’t feel parched or stretched. I wouldn’t say that it felt moisturized but it didn’t feel dehydrated either. I always tend to use a moisturizer afterwards, so this is not an issue for me. It also removes all traces of non-waterproof makeup with ease.

TBS Facial Foam 3

The face wash is gentle and creamy on the skin that provides a soothing and relaxed feeling. It has a mild fragrance of herbs that I wasn’t actually able to pin onto. But is certainly a refreshing smell and doesn’t bother my overtly sensitive nose. All in all, a nice product and I am happy with it.

TBS Facial Foam 4

Summing up the pros and cons.

Pros of The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash:

  • 99% ingredients of organic origin.
  • Comes in a hygienic spray pump can.
  • Gentle on the skin.
  • Creamy and lathery.
  • Tight shut spill proof cap.
  • Wide nozzle that avoids clogging when unused for long.
  • Very small amount is required every time, so lasts for more than 3 months.
  • Mild herbal fragrance.
  • Removes non-waterproof makeup easily.

Cons of The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash:

  • Expensive for a face wash but the quantity required makes it value for money.
  • Its large size does not make it apt for travelling though you need not worry about the product spilling out when the cap is tightly shut.

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Nutriganics Foaming Facial Wash?

I like experimenting with face washes and tend to get bored easily with a single one when used for long. So, this is certainly a part of my list but would like to try out so many others in the market too. I liked this product and am sure anyone else who tries would definitely agree with me.

IMBB rating: 4.2/5 for price and travel quotient.

    1. Thank you Surabhi *thankyou* . This range is very good but the creams are not meant for summers, they are extremely rich in texture and I faced break outs even on dry skin during initial summers so on a break for the season.

  1. I soo wanna try nutriganics ramnge after using its face mask.. bt sadly its nt much working on oily skin.. *headbang*

    1. I really wouldn’t recommend this range for oily skin Neetu. You would certainly go *headbang*. The face mask and face wash are both good but the creams are too moisturizing.

  2. Foaming face washes do last long! I have been using sebamed foaming face wash for over 5 months now! But it;s too pricey!

    1. I agree Gayatri, They do last really long and TBS is really pricey. Haven’t tried sebamed, thanks you for introducing me to it. Will look out for them 🙂
