The Body Shop Spa Of The World Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil Review

Body Skin Type – Normal

This Spa of the World range is new in India and as always, I gave in. I picked up this variant of the 4 oils available as only this one could be used on both body and hair. I like multi-purpose products and hence I chose this above the 3 other variants available. Read on to know how this baby fared for me.

My Experience with The Body Shop Spa Of The World Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil:

The packaging is simple with a musky raw feel to it; very much expected from the spa range. I would have preferred a flip top cap but that would take away the “exotic” factor off the packaging. Both the body and cap is strong sturdy plastic and hence easy to work with in-shower. Details about the product are mentioned on the body and the ingredients at the base.

The texture of the oil is pretty thick to begin with; hence the oil takes a bit of effort to get absorbed. I really do not mid that as it gives the time to massage in the product well. I usually use it before shower or on damp skin. It cannot be used as a post-shower oil as the texture is thick and it might feel a bit uncomfortable. It has an awesome fragrance and I am totally hooked on to it. The fragrance stays on for a pretty long time which is a pro for me.

Coming to the effectiveness of the product I would say it has worked wonderfully on my skin. It actually gives radiance and glow to the skin. Since it requires a bit of effort while massaging in, I can feel the goodness of the oil. The pleasant fragrance adds to the calming feel of the oil. I am totally in the enjoying the oil pre-shower. I used it on my hair as serum but I found it slightly heavy for my hair. It would be great for people with extreme frizzy curls as it will definitely tame them down; people with thin hair might not really enjoy using this.
