The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel Stick Review

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel Stick

Hello girls
Of late, I have been seeing some blemishes on my face. Some are pimple marks while some are just there which look bad as I am very fair. I have some 6-7 blemishes on my cheek which I wanted to treat. I had heard about this tea tree range of body shop which is designed specially to treat blemishes and so I bought some products of this range for my skin. I bought a night blemish fade lotion and tea tree mask from this range apart from this gel for overall treatment of my skin. The night lotion and the mask have already been reviewed here on IMBB so here I am with this Tea Tree Blemish Gel.

Price: Rs. 695 but I got it in the annual TBS sale at 30 percent off.
Quantity: 2.5 ml. the quantity is very less and the price is sky high. This is reason why I haven’t put a swatch because this gel is transparent and a transparent swatch would be wastage of product.
Shelf Life: 3 years
Ingredients: Community Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya – an ingredient renowned for its anti-bacterial benefits, an infusion perfect to help blemished skin

My experience with The body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel stick

I bought this gel because I thought it must be a concentrated gel for some heavy duty action on my blemishes. The stick is very very small which makes it handy but also makes you think that it’s horribly expensive. I apply the gel religiously every morning after washing my face on blemishes and have been doing this for the past 15 days. The gel is a very light and I feel that it’s not concentrated enough. It just stays for 2 minutes on my skin and evaporates thereafter. My blemishes have lightened a bit but I don’t know if it’s because of this gel or the combined effect of this and night blemish fade lotion. I find the packaging very handy. If it was a concentrated gel then this packaging would be really practical. But it’s a very runny gel. I am going to continue this combination for 2 months or so to see the complete results but right now…i am not completely happy.

Pros of The body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel stick

1. Very practical and handy packaging.
2. Lightens the blemishes a bit if used along with other products of this range.
3. Tea tree smell which I like.
4. The sponge applicator makes application very easy.

Cons of The body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel stick

1. Expensive.
2. Does not do much to the blemishes.
3. Very less quantity for the price and the tube is not even filled completely with this gel.
4. You have to buy at least 2 other products from this range to see some results on blemishes.

Overall I am not completely satisfied with this product. Usually I love TBS products and I hoped the same from this too but alas! Until you buy some other products from this range along with this, I wouldn’t recommend this.
