The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream Review

I love experimenting with BB creams, and here’s one from TBS.

My Experience with The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream:

The BB cream comes in 3 shades – 01 Light, 02 Medium and 03 Dark. I chose the 02 shade as it works well with my skin tone. I am glad the TBS has made that extra effort to launch it in 3 shades.  The BB cream is packed in a sturdy green plastic tube with a flip cap. The colour of the flip cap is the same as the shade of the BB cream. It smells of tea tree oil which is quite refreshing. The fragrance subsides after some time so if you are not too fond of the tea tree smell, you don’t need to worry.

The cream is quite thick when you squeeze it out, but it blends into the skin very easily. A small amount goes a long way. It get absorbed into the skin quickly leaving a dewy matte look. It is good for normal and oily skin, but if you have dry skin, you might need a moisturizer under it.

The coverage provided is better than all the BB creams that I have tried out so far. It hides my pigmentation and acne scars to quite an extent. It gives me that fresh no make-up look instantly. I just love that. Even though it gives a matte look initially, after 4-5 hours, the face starts looking oily. It does not transfer on to the mobile and stays put.

I am prone to acne these days and thankfully it did not break me out at all. So, I can safely say that it does not clog the pores, but I am not sure if it would make my skin clearer. Guess I’ll have to wait and watch.

What I Like about The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream:

• I am happy with the 3 shades that they have launched the BB cream in.
• It gets absorbed instantly and gives a natural dewy-matte look.
• I love the fragrance of the tea tree oil which is quite refreshing.
• It provides a good coverage, certainly better than the ones I have tried earlier.
• Stays on for a really long time.
• It does not break me out even though I am prone to acne these days.
• It comes in a sturdy travel-friendly packaging.

What I Do Not Like about The Body Shop Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream:

• Quite pricey compared to other BB creams.
• Fragrance may be obtrusive for some.
• Does not have SPF.
• Concealer may be required for those who suffer from major pigmentation and scars.
