The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter Review

The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter Review

Hi Ladies,

I will be reviewing another product from my Body Shop Christmas haul.  Even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I always buy gifts for friends during this time and don’t forget to buy some gifts for myself too.  This time of the year is so interesting because all skin care and body care brands introduce gift sets during this time of the year, which are mostly inspired by Christmas. I have already reviewed some products I purchased which were mostly in travel size because of budget constraints this year.  The Body Shop has introduced quite a bit of a collection which varies from the usual fruits/flowers collection and I really wanted to try them out. I have already reviewed the Vanilla Bliss Shower Gel and will be reviewing the Vanilla Bliss Body Butter today.

The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter Review

It is actually summer now and I started using this butter during spring.  The body butters I have used so far from the Body Shop are Mango, Strawberry, and Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Butter, and I used them extensively to keep my skin super hydrated during winter; however, because of the climate here, body butters and almost any lotion can be used during summer as well because we hardly sweat.

Product Description:

Our iconic Body Butter in a limited-edition festive fragrance. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling softer and smoother.

• 200 ml.
• 24-hour hydration.

Body Butter 1

My Experience with The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter:

If you have read my review on the TBS Vanilla Bliss Shower Gel, you would know how hard I fell for this fragrance! This body butter smells the same, but it is more like vanilla icing since it is in a body butter form! I bought the travel version and it comes in a small size tub with packaging containing picture of vanilla bean.  This smells awesome, just like pure sweet vanilla, nothing mixed here unlike the “spiced vanilla” which came out a couple of years back. The fragrance is totally indulgent and hubby loves it on me. It helps me with controlling my sweet tooth, especially from eating cakes.

Body Butter 2

The texture is smooth and butter like and spreads easily. Since this body butter is for all skin types unlike the ones for very dry skin, it does not fall into the”“overly moisturising category.” However, it moisturised my skin well and after continuous use for a couple of days, I was really impressed as it made my skin soft and smooth.  However, none of the body butters from The Body Shop have let me down so far.

Body Butter 3

The fragrance lasts for at least 5-6 hours on me during spring, but now it lasts for a maximum of four hours if layered with the shower gel.

Pros of The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter:

  • Totally indulgent vanilla fragrance.
  • Contains cocoa butter, shea butter, sweet almond oil and sesame seed oil to moisturise and soften skin.
  • Spreads easily and moisturizes skin well.
  • Other products from the same range are available for fragrance layering.

Cons of The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Butter:

  • Does not provide enough moisture for overly dry skin as this product is for all skin types.
  • The travel size gift pack I bought which contained the shower gel and body butter was overpriced as I paid AUD 25 for them, except for this I cannot think of any con.  The full size body butter is more value for money and is priced at the same rate as other body butters.

IMBB Rating:

4.75/5
