The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Body Polish Review

Hello everyone,

Today I have brought for you all the Vanilla Bliss Body Polish from The Body Shop’s festive range. After reading Rati’s review on the Cranberry Joy Body Polish I just couldn’t stop my feet from running to The only Body Shop outlet in my city. I found the Cranberry Joy scent a bit overpowering for me so picked this one instead. So far I have used the body butter, lip balm, shimmer lotion and shower gel from their Vanilla Bliss range and love them to the core. So let’s find out how this one fared….

My experience with the product:
This is my first body polish ever. I have used scrubs gels shower creams before but never got attracted towards these so was really excited and couldn’t wait to give it a try since I picked it up. The moment I opened the lid and squeezed the contents I could smell vanilla but the scent is much stronger when applied. It looks so similar to honey mixed with vanilla essence and is so tempting that I really had to resist myself. If kept in a container one can easily mistaken it for some syrup meant for ice cream toppings or some salad dressing.

I can just go on and on about how this body polish is like but now I should come straight to the product. I applied it on damp skin as suggested for exfoliating and lathered it up with a loofah later on. The granules are not very harsh and help in removal of dead skin in a gentle manner. I prefer to use it on an alternate day basis. A very little amount is required so just be careful while squeezing the tube, the first time I had taken out a lot and regretted it as there was no way of putting it back. It felt like an aromatic vanilla bath. The smell is strong for the duration of the bath but just after it fades within an hour or so but if layered with body butter and other products from the same range will stay for another few hours. I felt my skin moisturized but since my skin is of normal-dry combination type and its winters I feel the need to moisturize right after. It will be great during summers. The presence of honey lends a subtle glow to the skin and also acts as a great moisturizer. So all in all I really really love this Body Polish. Hope they continue this as a permanent range.
