The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream
By Alekhya M.
This is my very first review for IMBB and I really wish I had another product!! I am reviewing The Body Shop Vitamin E cool BB cream here. Read along to find out how it fared.
What the product claims: Meet our skin care hero, Vit E Cool BB cream. Our new take on BB cream illuminates, evens skin tone and protects with moisture for 12hours. Available in one cool shade, the lightweight texture will effortlessly blend onto skin for a fresh natural look.
Hydrates to protect. Evens tone. Freshens skin. One cool shade . 50p from each sale goes to teenage cancer trust.
Price: Rs. 850 for 50ml
My Experience with The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream :
I got it a while back from the Body Shop counter and the SA promised me it is one of the best BB creams ever. It is available in only one shade which would only suit medium to dark skin tones. My fair skin only turned one shade darker!! I went ahead and applied it all over my face. Texture is thick and smooth. As claimed it does cool and hydrates the skin and very little product gives ample coverage. Being thick and creamy it took time to sink in and absorbed after massaging in for a bit and gives a cooling sensation. It does not cover any marks, only evenly tones the skin to a darker shade !! Comes in a 50ml plastic tube with flip cover which is travel friendly. It can feel oily and greasy within few minutes of application for oily skin.
Pros of The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream:
Cools and hydrates
Can be suitable for dry skin
Cons of The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream:
Only one shade
Contains parabens
Does not mention if its not tested on animals
Expensive
Not for oily skin
Not long lasting
Feels heavy
Does not illuminate or even tone
Would I repurchase The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream?
Definitely not!! Far better BB creams are available for my skin tone in the market. I would recommend it for honey-dusky coloured girls with dry –normal skin. Always try it at the counter first to match the skin.
As of what I’ll do with the remaining tube, I have tried to contour with it, using it as the darker shade .
Has anyone tried this and felt it works for them?

Great review, Alekhya! It is always good to know what products I should skip for my oily skin! Thanks for letting us know 🙂
I too don’t like this BB cream even though it’s good for dry skin, I don’t find the shade a good match for my skin.
