Following the body mist of the same variant which I had purchased and loved and reviewed, today I am going to review another product from the same brand variant. It is a body lotion and has the same lovely rosy floral fragrance which I had loved in the body mist. The body shop had an online sale going on a while back, and I had ordered this and a few other products from The Body Shop.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• A light body lotion fragranced with White Musk Smoky Rose, a blend of cruelty-free musk, tobacco flower and notes of black rose.
• Leaves skin feeling silky-soft
• Contains cruelty-free musk
• White Musk Smoky Rose scent
• Top notes are bergamot, pink pepper and black currant;
• Middle notes are tobacco blossom, black rose, orange blossom and immortelle;
• Base notes are olibanum and white musk.

How to use:Massage all over body after bathing or showering, and allow to sink in before dressing. Use with other products in the White Musk Smoky Rose range to build the fragrance.

My Experience with The Body Shop White Musk Rose Body Lotion

The product comes in a beautiful mauve colored plastic bottle. It has a silver cap, on top of which is a white pump mechanism. The pump can be twisted in open and closed position, making it convenient for travel. The lotion is white in color, with the characteristic perfume of the white musk smoky rose range. The texture is not very runny. One pump of the product is enough for my entire one arm.

The lotion has a very light feel to it. It blends very easily, and gets absorbed on to the skin fast enough. It moisturises the skin very well, but if you have very coarse body areas like elbows or knees, this product will not be enough. It is a perfect, light weight, every day kind of lotion for all skin types in the summer months, however in winters; a thicker body butter kind of product may be needed.
The hydration remains for 5-6 hours easily in summer; I cannot testify it for winters as I have not used it at that time. The main fragrance of white musk smoky rose is extremely seductive and sultry. This lotion has a similar lovely fragrance, though it is very light and floral.It is perfect for the summer times, and the fragrance remains on skin for 5-6 hours. I apply it at night before sleep, and all my bedsheets carry this fragrance in the morning. The fragrance is delicious, a milder version of the body mist.

It does not break out my skin, cause redness, or leave any shiny or white cast on my skin. The skin is left very soft, smooth, supple, fragrant and not at all oily or sticky.
It does not have any SPF in it; hence I do not prefer using it during the day time.

Will I recommend The Body Shop White Musk Rose Body Lotion?

Yes, especially in summers.It is a very good, every day kind, fragrant, lightweight body lotion which all skin types can use in summer. It does not leave any stickiness or oily residue. The fragrance is lovely and long lasting, and you will definitely get plenty of compliments. However, it will not protect you from harsh sun, so it is more suitable for evening and night times.
