My Experience with The Face Shop 04 Red Up Watery Tint:

Let’s begin with packaging of the product as it is super cute. This range of lip tint is from their Kakao Friends Collection. The lip tint comes in a transparent cylindrical plastic tube. The transparent tube helps to spot the shades easily from makeup stash. These lip tints come in six gorgeous shades each bearing a Kakao friend character printed on it.

The shade I am reviewing today is “Red Up” and the tube has a cute “Neo” printed on it along with the brand’s tagline and other details. The shade name is printed on the base of the tube and at its back as well. The tube closes with a white screw on type cap that fits tightly making the packaging travel friendly. The soft oval shaped tipped applicator is attached with the cap. Overall, the packaging is cute and travel friendly.

The shade “Red Up” is a neutral red shade. The color is so bright, it instantly brightens up dull face. It suits my skin tone very well. The lip tints are basically expected to have lighter pigmentation while this one is immensely pigmented. One swipe gives semi-opaque coverage and gives full coverage in just two coats. It hides my pigmented lips pretty well. There is no sheen or shimmers in this and it almost settles down to a soft matte finish. It has a very faint fragrance, which is not even noticeable much but it has sweet taste in it, which I personally dislike.

The formula is actually very watery. It’s basically a tint in liquid form. So, I need to be extra careful while applying it on my lips as it bleeds very easily from the outer lip line. From the label itself, it’s created mainly for the lips as a lip tint, but I thought why not try this as a cheek tint also. I applied it on my cheeks and I was so amazed to see how beautiful and natural it looked on my skin. It blended into the skin within seconds giving a gorgeous flush of color to my cheeks, but this shade is too bright to handle, so I need to be extra careful while using this color. A little dot gives a perfectly natural color to the cheeks. It dries up pretty quickly and it’s normal for tint to dry fast, so you better blend it with your fingers quickly after application. I totally love it as lip tint and as a cheek tint as well. It feels really light on the lips but it has slight sticky feel whenever I purse my lips. Also, the formula is slightly moisturizing and my lips feel dry at the end of the day. It is transferproof and waterproof.

The lasting power of this lip tint is somewhere around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little snacking in between, which is great for a lip tint. It can be taken off easily using regular makeup remover wipes. It gets removed easily and does not leave any stain behind.
