Today’s review is about the most raved product from The Face Shop. I was eyeing this CC cushion ever since I tried an experience kit after the launch of this brand in India. And luckily, I got a chance to purchase this under the sponsored product scheme. I am so thankful to IMBB for this! So, let’s get started with the review now.

My Experience with The Face Shop CC Long-Lasting Cushion:

When The Face shop launched its products for the first time in India, it came up with an offer of selling the experience kit to the buyers at a cheaper price. I was excited about trying all four products from the experience kit, so I ordered one for myself. It contained following:

• The Face Shop CC Cushion Ultra Moist

I loved both the CC cushions and since then I was eyeing this ‘Long-Lasting’ one. I went on to order this one after seeing the ratings and reading the reviews about the product. When I received the product I was so fascinated with the looks and packaging of this product. It comes shielded in a silver cardboard box which has all the details of the product.

The tub packaging looks so classy and luxurious with the combination of black and gold colour. And the golden logo embossed on the top of the plain black base gives it a royal, appealing look. The press button in the middle of the tub helps you unlock it and flip open the cap. I find this helpful and this kind of packaging keeps the cushion safe from toddlers. When you open the case you’ll be able to see the sponge resting on a white tray.

And, the actual cushion foundation lies underneath the tray. I absolutely love its packaging. The sponge provided with the cushion is of a good quality. On one side, it has been coloured white, and the other side is blue. I like how the sponge applicator comes with a cream coloured band with the brand name on it. I always put in my fingers inside the band to hold the sponge and use it comfortably to dab the cream on my face.

The sponge doesn’t absorb a lot of product and blends the CC cushion well into the skin. It is soft and smooth and very convenient for use. Well, honestly speaking, I had no idea how a CC cushion looked and functioned until I owned this for myself. Even though I’ve used the refill patches of CC cushion from the trial kit, I kept wondering why this CC cushion looked like a pressed powder compact. It was only when I received the product and tried it I got to know how it functioned.

It has a thick sponge cushion filled with the CC cushion cream. When I try to press the cushion it releases the CC cream onto the top. And that’s how you need to use a CC cushion. You have five different shades to choose from in this range and I chose ‘V203’, which is natural beige. This shade is best suitable for Indian fair skin tones.

People who have fairer skin tones generally prefer choosing shades that are lightest in shade. Since this is a Korean brand and the Korean fair skin tone differs from the Indian fair skin tone, I opted for a shade that would look natural on my skin without making it look fake and cakey. Therefore, I opted for the second lightest shade. This shade has an orange and pink undertone to it.

The consistency of the CC cushion is on the thinner side. When I try to apply it on my skin with the help of the sponge it blends effortlessly within no time, giving a fresh, radiant and neat look. It also provides a nice glowing look to my face and adds a sheen to it. It evens out the skin tone and provides medium coverage. It claims to provide high coverage but I feel that it provides medium coverage and not full coverage.

However, it lives up to all its other claims. It smoothens out the pores and stays in place for a very long time. As the name suggests, this one is truly a long lasting cushion. It comes with SPF 50 and thus provides protection from harmful UV rays, too. Also, it smells lovely and has a hint of floral fragrance.

Yes! I may even purchase CC cushion intense and ultra moist next since I’ve tried them earlier and found them to be good on my skin. I do recommend everyone to try this one as it fared amazingly well on me.
