The Face Shop has recently launched their Dermo-Cosmetic line – Dr.Belmeur. This line has two variants – Daily Repair and Clarifying. Now, I am going to review the Spot Calming Ampoule from the clarifying variant of this range.

My Experience with The Face Shop Dr.Belmeur Clarifying Spot Calming Ampoule:

I have combination skin. I do not break out often, but when I do, it is really a nasty business. The pimples have the mind of their own, and I have tried a lot of measures or remedies to cure them. And, when I saw that it was a spot ampoule meant for it, I just bought it.

Packaging: The product comes packaged in a transparent, small, glass bottle, with a dropper. Because it is made of glass, the product should be handled with extra care. The dropper helps in taking the right amount of the product, and overall, the packaging is hygienic to use.

Product: The product is transparent and slightly thicker than water. It has a medicated perfume-like smell, which is mild. The smell disappears after a minute or so, after being applied and doesn’t linger. The product is easy to spread. It should be used on the trouble spots or areas prone to acne and blemishes. So, you won’t need much product for single use. One or two drops would usually suffice because it spreads easily. It dries quickly on the skin. It does leave a feeling that you have some product on your skin. But you can’t see it because it appears dry. The product should be gently tapped on the skin for complete absorption. It doesn’t dry instantly.

Effectiveness: I applied it before serum in my skin care routine. The ampoule actually helped in treating my acne. On applying, it gave a cooling sensation on the skin. If you are an acne prone beauty, you know how painful these acne are. This ampoule cools them down. And if a pimple is just in the beginning stage, and it is still a slightly raised bump on the skin, it heals within a day. For a full-blown pimple, it makes it go away sooner. Also, the pain of a pimple is less.

For the blemishes part, I can not say anything, because I used it only on my active acne, and it was wonderful.
Overall, I like how this helps me with acne.
