Today I will be reviewing a unique sheet mask from The Face Shop. This mask is an exfoliating wash off mask, and I was really excited to try it out. To know more about this product and how it fared for me, keep on reading.

Product Description:
Mask sheet that contains 45% chitosan yarn meets with the essence that contains AHA, BHA, and chitosan ingredients, it melts and absorbs impurities such as dead skin cells and skin wastes, etc. After peeling off the melted sheet, wash face with water so the impurities would be removed and moisturizing ingredients will keep the skin dewy and moisturized for smooth, clear beautiful skin.
How to Use:
Step 1 – Cleanse and tone face
Step 2 – Fold the pouch along the dotted line on the lower compartment of the package & press firmly to burst open the liquid outlet.
Step 3 – Squeeze the serum onto the sheet mask pouch & press to make sure the sheet is well socked
Step 4 – Place mask over face, align with eye, nose and lips
Step 5 – Leave on for 10 – 15 minutes and remove (wash off)
My Experience With The Face Shop Mask Lab Chitosan Face Mask:
Lately, I have been experimenting with more expensive sheet masks to see their effect in comparison to the more affordable range. Moreover, I have been experimenting with products with chemical exfoliants, such as AHA and BHA, as I have pore troubles.
The Face Shop Chitosan Face Mask comes in a unique pack. It has a mask made of chitosan, which is basically a natural polymer, in a separate compartment and the serum in a compartment below it. Both compartments are transparent. All the information about the mask, like ingredients, directions for usage and price, are mentioned at the back. This ensures that the mask is activated by the serum and goes onto the face immediately to maximize the benefits.
The chitosan mask feels like a regular cotton mask. The serum does not have a particularly strong fragrance. The instructions direct one to fold across the dotted line, but somehow I couldn’t find one. I followed the image at the back and folded it vertically and pressed on it to allow the serum to spill into the chitosan mask compartment. After sufficiently soaking the mask, I applied it onto my face after removing the protective mesh on one side.
Again, the instructions do not mention that a transparent mesh is present and must be removed. After keeping the mask on my face for no more than 15 minutes, I removed it and washed off the serum. Washing off the serum can be a bit difficult, as it feels very oily on the face. Areas, where I have pore troubles, felt smooth and cleansed. I followed it up with a light mist and a moisturizer after a few hours.
The effects of the mask are immediate. It gives the same effect of a face scrub, only it is much gentler. Additionally, my face looks hydrated, plump and bright. It almost had a whitening effect to my face. I think this mask is great for travelling as you don’t need to carry an additional scrub bottle and it is also convenient to use and throw. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this product and look forward to trying more such products.

This is the kind of sheet mask that I would stock up on, so yes, I will definitely be purchasing this again once my stash is over. For people with pore troubles and those who dislike using physical exfoliators must try this product once.
