The Face Shop Mung Bean Real Nature Mask Sheet Review

Clearly, I’m smitten by The Face Shop 😛 I’ve been using their mask sheets since months now and I only keep going back to pick up my favorite ones. However, here is a review on one which I tried for the first time. Let’s see how it fares 😀

A mask sheet that has mung bean extract keeps the pores clean.

How to use:

1. Get the skin even by toner.
2. Place the mask sheet evenly according to where nose and eye areas are
3. Take off the sheet after 15-20 minutes. Gently pat for better absorption

My Experience with The Face Shop Mung Bean Real Nature Mask Sheet :

No surprises, the sachet contains a single, white, saturated, cotton mask sheet, which has nice fresh smell to it. After some adjustments, I let the mask sit on my face for close to 30 minutes. Although most of the mask sheets by TFS require you to place it on for 15-20 minutes, these are extremely saturated with the serum, such that you could easily wear it for an hour without the mask drying. The serum has a thin consistency, which is slightly sticky like some of the masks by TFS. The mask felt cool and soothing against my skin and I didn’t notice any irritation.

Once I took the mask off, I gently patted my face to help the product absorb well into my skin. Upon examining my face, I noticed my skin felt a lot smoother and hydrated. I get whiteheads, so I was hoping that this would help take care of it. But in all honesty, it didn’t look like it did a good job there. It however did make the pores look smaller. I’m guessing that since it is a clarifying mask sheet, it would suit a better purpose to oily and combination skin folks. The effects of the mask lasted for about a day. My skin is normal so I didn’t particularly find anything miraculous about it. I am not particularly excited by this mask, like I was with most of the others.

Would I Buy or Recommend The Face Shop Mung Bean Real Nature Mask Sheet ?

It isn’t a bad mask sheet, since it definitely hydrates and smoothens my skin. However, I’m not quite satisfied by its claims. I wouldn’t pick it up personally, but it is definitely worth a try for those who have oily skin type.
