Australia is one place where one of the must-have skincare products is sunscreen because this is a place which is under strong direct UV rays. I usually use to wear a moisturizer with an SPF, since most of the sunscreens on their own makes me oily but lately, I wanted to get a nice non-oily sunscreen cream with a high SPF value. During my recent visit to The Face Shop, I spotted a brightening sun cream and decided to give it a try. So, today, I am going to review “The FaceShop Natural Sun Eco Super White Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA +++”. So, let’s get started.

Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Isoamyl p-Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane aka Avobenzone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene), Alcohol Denat, silicones and polymers (Cyclopentasiloxane, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer), humectants (Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol), and other functional ingredients like emulsifiers, pH adjusters (Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Triethanolamine, and Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate and Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, which are both emulsifiers with emollient properties).
My Experience with The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Super White Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA +++:
This sunscreen comes packaged in wide, half-white squeezy tube with a pointed nozzle end. There is also an outer cardboard box with the ingredient list and other details. I have been using this product for about a month and I misplaced the outer box, so I couldn’t capture that. The packaging is simple and is easy to use and travel-friendly. The nozzle tip makes it easier to control the amount of product dispensed.
The cream itself is white in color and has a fresh smell, which is quite nice. This sunscreen is super light and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It really feels like you’re just applying a light moisturizer on the face and the skin feels hydrated after using this but this doesn’t mean that you have to skip the moisturizer, that is a must. It doesn’t leave a white/gray cast on my brown skin and it doesn’t make my skin oily.
This cream blends out to be less visible on the skin. It generally dries down to be fairly non-sticky and matte finish, because of the silicones present in the formulation. This cream has sunflower seed extract for whitening and brightening; this claim is true. Till now, whatever sunscreen I have used, had been making my skin dark but this one is an exception; it instantly brightens my face, which is just amazing.
I love the feeling of this sunscreen on my face. It gives high SPF protection, brightens the face and most importantly, doesn’t clog my pores or make my skin oily. In terms of UV protection, The Face Shop has done a good job of balancing all the requirements, including all the necessary filters to provide UVA and UVB protection and also making the formulation fairly stable and lightweight.
So, all in all, The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Power Super White Sun Cream is a broad spectrum sunscreen that is photostable and is also formulated to brighten the skin, feel lightweight, moisturizing and non-oily on the skin.
