My Experience with The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion Long-Lasting Moist Cover Foundation:

Beginning with the packaging of the product. The cushion foundation comes in a classy pure white tub with a lid. The lid is also white in color with a silver-colored rim and silver-colored brand logo embossed at the center of this lid.

The base of the tub bears a label indicating product-related details. This tub comes housed in a cardboard box with silver detailing. Once you open, there’s a small sponge puff that rests on the small tray or safety cover. Below the safety cover, comes the cushion foundation. Overall, the packaging is very classy and travel friendly.

The sponge applicator has an amazing quality and it is very easy to use. Just apply the foundation in light press and release motions. The sponge blends this foundation effortlessly in no time.

The sponge is soft, smooth and dense enough. It does not drink up a lot of product and provides great coverage with a little dabbing. It gives such a polished air-brush finish.

The cushion foundation comes in four shades, out of which, I had got the second shade called “Dark Beige”that is best suited for my skin tone. This shade perfectly sets on my skin tone, so I am glad that I had found my perfect match. The cushionfoundation comes in the form of a soft sponge containing some liquid makeup that comes out with a little dabbing of sponge on it.

The foundation has a very thin and lightweight texture. It blends very easily and gives a seamless natural looking finish. It never looks patchy and it does not emphasize dry patches or skin pores. The foundation gives some medium coverage. Therefore, it easily hides normal skin imperfections like some acne scars and light blemishes. It does not look heavy or cakey even upon layering. The foundation provides a flawless finish in no time.

This is a water-based foundation that helps to keep the skin oil-free and is a good option to be used by people with oily and acne-prone skin like me. It does not clog my skin pores. It does not cause acne or breakouts on my skin.

The formula is so lightweight and it never feels oily on my skin. I find it better than other foundations that I have used. Maybelline Fit Me was my favorite foundation but that feels somewhat heavy on the skin. So, this cushion foundation has replaced my Maybelline Fit Me too, I like using it more. It does not have any significant fragrance, so it will not bother those sensitive noses.

The foundation gives a lovely dewy finish and gives me a second skin. The foundation comes with SPF 50 PA+++ that makes it great to be used during daytime. My skin stays properly moisturized and hydrated with this product. It does not make my skin oily or greasy, but it does not look completely matte. Its finish is slightly on a dewy side. It claims to control oil but it could not keep my skin oil free for some 3-4 hours only. The lasting power of this cushion foundation is around 6-7 hours on my skin with a primer underneath.

Overall, I am head-over-heels in love with this product. I really cannot find any major cons of this product.
