My Experience with The Face Shop Purifying Foaming Cleanser – Frodo:

The Face Shop Purifying Foaming Cleanser - Frodo Review Front

Beginning with the packaging of the product, the face wash comes in a white colored squeeze tube with the Kakao friends character “Frodo” printed on it along with the product name. The cartoon character on the tube adds cuteness to the packaging. The entire product related information is printed at the back of the tube. The product details are printed on it both in Korean and English. The tube closes with a regular white colored flip cap that shuts tightly making a click sound and ensures that the tube is leak-proof and fit for travel purposes. Overall, the packaging is nice, sturdy and travel-friendly.

The cleanser has a mild and non-bothering floral fragrance. The smell does not linger for too long and fades away gradually. The foaming cleanser is pastel green in color with some pearly sheen. The consistency of the cleansing foam is quite thick and creamy. It lathers amazingly well and a pea-sized amount is good enough for face and neck. It creates a lot of foam and cleanses the skin gently. The cleanser washes off easily without leaving any slippery residue behind. It is safe on my sensitive skin and does not break me out but I did not get that squeaky clean feeling post washing. It has regular cleansing properties but I am not much impressed with the quality of the product. When I used my toner after washing my face with this face wash, I observed a lot of dirt and impurities on the cotton pad, this made me realize that the cleansing properties are not really appreciable. It does make my skin dry and stretchy. It just rips off the skin moisture and makes it look dull and tired.

The product claims to clarify the skin but I am not really impressed with the cleansing properties. It does not really cleanse my skin. After using it for a couple of weeks, my skin looked somewhat darker than usual. I also observed some patchiness on my skin. I had observed similar issues with one more facial cleansers from this brand. So, overall, this product highly disappointed me. I discontinued using this and thankfully my skin came back to normal.
