Let’s begin with packaging of the product. The lipstick comes in a dark, gray-colored outer cardboard box. The box has the entire product-related information printed on it. The shade name and shade number is written on a color-coded sticker on the top of the box.

The cap of the lipstick is also gray in color and has a color-coded top, which helps to spot the shade easily from your makeup stash. The cap closes nicely making an audible click sound and that makes the lipstick travel friendly. The twist-up mechanism of the lipstick works pretty smoothly. Overall, the packaging has no flaws, it is nice and travel friendly.

“Red Rising” is a beautiful bold tomato red shade with neutral undertones. The shade is bold and great to sport at parties and weddings. It will suit Indian skin tones nicely. It is a gorgeous shade and brightens up my face instantly. The lipstick does not contain any chunky shimmer. It sets to a beautiful satiny finish. I am not a fan of glossy red lipstick, so preferred blotting it a little.

The color looks even more gorgeous after blotting as it looks semi-matte and the color intensity lowers down a little making it wearable for daytime also. The pigmentation of the lipstick is nice and buildable. It delivers semi-opaque kind of finish in one swipe and the color can be built up properly with two-three swipes. I have mildly pigmented lips and this lipstick perfectly covers all pigmentation, imparting a perfect pop of color to the lips. The lipstick has a very faint fragrance that is totally not bothersome.

The texture of the lipstick is smooth and creamy. It glides like a dream on my lips without causing any tugging or pulling. The texture is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not feel heavy even upon layering. I really love the texture and finish of this lip color. It does not cling to the dry patches of the lips and application looks even.

The formula is moisturizing and this lipstick keeps my lips hydrated. It prevents my lips from drying even if I skip my lip balm it keep my lips soft and nourished. My lips do not feel dry even after a full meal. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer due to its creamy formula. Being a bold shade, this one transfers like crazy. It does not bleed or smudge at all.

The lasting power of the lipstick is good. It easily lasts for 4-5 hours approximately on my lips with regular sipping of water. It does survive meals partially leaving a sheer hint of color on my lips. It is very easy to remove and it does not stain the lips.
