My Experience with The Face Shop Real Nature Lotus Face Mask:
The face mask comes in a nice, black coloured plastic pouch that has a wooden finish. It also has some floral print over it. The packaging is hygienic and all the details are printed on the packaging but, most of them are in the Korean language so, I can’t read them all. It has only one sheet mask that is nicely folded inside the packaging. I never smell Lotus; hence, it has a very sweet floral scent that feels very good.
This sheet mask was fully dipped in a plain white moisturising slippery gel that glided smoothly and felt very light on the skin. I really like this black pouch range that has lightweight masks and the entire range has some interesting ingredients. The moisturising quantity was enough to cover up my whole face and still there was some extra gel in the pouch. I used this as a massage gel and it smoothly blends on the skin.
The gel felt super smooth and silky in consistency. It was a normal plain white mask that didn’t leave any stain on my face. The size of the sheet was good but, it was a little big for me and quite difficult to fit it on the face. I wish they come with a nice shape. I really like the shape of their solution range which fits perfectly but, this is not like that. I kept the mask on for around 20-25 minutes and then massaged the gel for around 5 minutes. After that, I rinsed it off. The sheet was full of moisturiser that started to penetrate into my skin within minutes. I didn’t feel any dryness on the skin and it was easy to peel off. My skin felt soft and moisturised after I removed the mask from my face.
I have oily skin but, this mask felt so light and gentle on skin that never made my skin oily. The formula is great for oily skin and it also provided a decent amount of hydration to it. It kept my skin soft and moisturised. This mask hides all my dry patches and makes the skin super soft and smooth. It never irritated my skin either. In fact, it felt very fresh and soothing on the skin. It provided a great relief to my tired skin. This dry weather reduces the natural glow of the face but, this mask brought that glow back and made my tired skin appear healthy. Once again, this black pouch range also has some similar kind of effect. Honestly, I couldn’t find any huge difference between them. This lotus mask is especially for hydrating your skin and it does its job nicely to keep the skin moisturised.
Like the other masks from this range, it also gave the skin a more plump appearance and made it naturally glowing too. My skin felt baby soft and healthy after using this mask. It looked super fresh and dewy. This hydration is good for my oily skin. The soft smooth effect stayed around 1 day on my skin type but, I don’t think, it is super hydrating for the extremely dry skin. My mum has a very dry skin and I also tried one on her and her skin felt dry after 5-6 hours and she needed a moisturiser. Also, this glowing effect doesn’t last long. The glow lasts for only 1-2 days and after this time, my skin required a reapplication. Otherwise, it is a nice instant usable mask. Also, the brand claims that this mask doesn’t have any parabens, but it has alcohol, which is definitely not good for the skin, especially for sensitive skin. Yet this mask didn’t break me out.

- Doesn’t fit well.
- Contains alcohols.
- Not a super hydrating mask for very dry skin.
- The effect doesn’t stay long.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend The Face Shop Real Nature Lotus Face Mask?
For dry skin, if you want a deep hydrating mask, I wouldn’t recommend this, it is better to go with their original real nature range for deep nourishment.
