I am here today with another review. This review is about The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam. I always wanted to include rice water into my skin care regimen, hence bought this foam a few weeks ago. Let’s see if it’s worth the price.

Product Description:
This gently cleansing foam offers your skin a clear and even complexion. Enriched with a natural rice water solution with brightening properties, it cleanses skin without irritation, thanks to its creamy texture.
Application:
Lather the cleansing foam with water and massage onto the face with a circular motion. Rinse with lukewarm water.

My Experience with The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam:
Packaging:
The packaging is very sturdy. When I got this, the tube was wrapped in plastic and the product name and price were written over it. The material of the tube is very glossy and thick while the tube cap is very hard and sturdy. It has a flip cap which opens with a little pressure and closes with a click, hence the tube is travel-friendly. The colour of the tube is very pretty, too. The name of the product is written in the front of the tube and all the other information is provided at the back of the tube in Korean and English both.
Texture:
It has a kind of pearly appearance. The texture of this cleansing foam is very creamy. It lathers up very well when mixed with water. The texture and lathering properties both are same as Pond’s face washes.
Smell:
This is the best part about this cleansing foam. It has a very sweet fragrance which gives you a refreshing feel, but you cannot really smell the rice solution. It has a very mild scent of rice solution. I always feel amazing when I use this cleansing foam because of the fragrance.
Usage and Results:
I have an combination-oily skin; even my skin is confused. I have been using this cleanser for a few weeks now. It took me a while to calculate the right amount to get perfectly cleansed, hydrated and brightened face. I started with a pea size amount but it was too less as my skin wasn’t getting brightened. Next time I used a coin size amount and it was too much as my skin turned dry and stretchy. Then, at last, I took two pea sized amount, which was totally perfect. I use this cleansing foam as directed, usually twice a day.
It cleanses my skin properly but does not make it squeaky clean. I was not expecting a cleansing foam to brighten up my skin but this one adds an instant glow to the skin. This glow does not last more than 15-20 minutes, though. I love this cleansing foam because it has never dried out my skin. After cleansing, my skin always feels moisturised. It makes my skin soft and bouncy after every use. It hasn’t even broken out my skin. I don’t think it lives up to the claim of providing an even skin tone because I have not seen visible changes in my pigmented areas.
Although my blemishes have lightened a bit, this cleanser plays a very little part in it. Long term usage might show better results. I don’t usually wear makeup but when I do I remove it with this cleansing foam and it cleanses very well. However, this cleanser hurts badly if it gets into my eyes. So, I always need to be careful while washing my face.
