My Experience with The Face Shop Single Shadow Shimmer BR03:
This eyeshadow comes in a cute and tiny round plastic pan. The pan is white in color and has a clear flip top lid. The lid shuts tightly and that makes it fit to carry around. The clear lid helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash during rush hours. The lid bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it in simple white fonts. The back of the pan has a small circular sticker at the back bearing the shade number and other necessary information about the product.
These tiny pans are easy to store and can be stacked up easily. It does not come with any applicator but this is not really a con for me as I rarely use those small sponge applicators attached with the eyeshadow kits. Overall, I am happy with the packaging of the product.
“BR03” is a dark brown color. It is called “shadow shimmer” but this one is not really shimmery. It has very fine silver micro shimmers in it, which are too sparse and barely noticeable. So, this eyeshadow looks almost matte. This eyeshadow is great for everyday use as it looks subtle and nice on the eyes. I love such earthy brown for everyday basis. A soft smokey brown eye look can be easily achieved with this eyeshadow. The formula is decently pigmented and the color shows up in just two swipes. Therefore, the color payoff is really amazing. The color is nice, matte and buildable.
The texture of this eyeshadow is soft and smooth. It does not feel chalky or powdery. It has a soft velvety feel. There is hardly any fallout issue from this eyeshadow. It glides effortlessly on the eyelids. It blends beautifully like a dream without much effort. The color looks nice and never gets patchy.
The color looks more intense with an eye shadow primer underneath. The longevity of the eye shadow is somewhere around 4-5 hours on my oily eyelids with an eye primer underneath. Hence, the lasting power is not really remarkable, but overall, it is a nice eyeshadow.
