The Nature’s Company-Online Skincare Haul and Review

I am going through a serious natural/herbal obsession… I am using only herbal products these days. If I see the word ‘natural’ or ‘herbal’ on a label I am buying it!!!!

My cousin from Mumbai was raving about this new brand which has all natural ingredients. So I made a mental note to check it out on my next trip to Mumbai. But then I saw the update about the Nature’s Co. on Rati’s article , and checked out their website. To my utter surprise and absolute delight, they had online shopping facility.

They have this amazing website, where everything is displayed beautifully. They have five lines of products depending on the Five elements of Nature…

  • Atmospure: Inspired by pure air
  • Starrize: Inspired by the sun
  • Foressence: The enchanted forest and all it holds is captured in this range.
  • Earthborne: Of the earth and by the earth
  • Aquaspark: The abundance of the oceans and rivers and all they hold find expression here.

I connect more with the Sun and Earth than the other elements. I liked these products best. So without spending one more minute, I ordered the following products (Clockwise):-

  1. Chocolate and Mint Lip Balm: This one is from their Earthborne range.
  2. Sweet Almond Foot and Toe Cream: Earthborne
  3. Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion: Starrize
  4. Pineapple Lip Balm: Starrize

Nature's co haul

The delivery was quick and hassle-free. They sent me those products wrapped in Marigold petals and organic brown paper. So cute!!!

1. Chocolate and Mint Lip Balm Review:

Nature's co haul Chocolate lip balm

Ingredients: Peppermint oil, Shea Butter, Mango butter, Castor Oil, Vit. E, Balm base, natural flavouring and food grade colours.
This one is just delicious. I can think nothing else to describe this. It’s delicious. Period.

  • It’s very creamy, goes invisible on the lips.
  • Staying power is as good as any other lip balm. Stays on my lips until I eat anything. But it is so delicious that I just love to reapply all the time.

Nature's co haul

  • It is very moisturizing.
  • Very little goes a long way.
  • The pot is unbelievably cute. I am gonna flaunt it like anything.
  • The cap screws shut, so it is convenient to carry around.
  • It is priced at Rs. 225 for 10 ml. It is kinda pricey for a lip balm, but its fragrance makes it worth the money.
  • I deliberately loosened the cap while storing this in my closet, and now my entire closet smells of Chocolate. Yummmm…. Yes… You thought right. I am a little crazy…
  • Repurchase: YES

2. Sweet Almond Foot and Toe Cream Review :

Nature's co foot and toe cream Ingredients: Sweet Almond Extract, Apricot Kernel oil, Spearmint Extract, Lemongrass oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Patchouli Oil, Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin, Vitamin E, Olive Oil

Nature's co haul foot and toe cream

  • I massaged my feet with this at bed time. It was instantly relaxing. In the morning, even my sheets smelled Lemony. Now this is what you call a fragrant product.
  • Though the label says Sweet Almond, the product has a distinct citrusy smell, perhaps because of the Lemongrass Oil.
    It is quite moisturizing.
  • Despite of so many oils in it, it is very light and is easily absorbed.
  • It is priced at Rs. 345/- for 125 ml.(4.22 Oz)
  • I’ll have to use it for much longer period to see the actual results.
  • Repurchase: YES (because of the fragrance and moisturizing power)

3. Pineapple Lip balm Review :

Nature's co haul Pineapple Lip balm

Ingredients: mango Butter, Castor Oil, Vitamin E, Kokum Butter and Pineapple Flavour.

Nature's co haul Pineapple Lip Balm

  • This one smells like Pineapple milkshake. It smells creamy and it’s milder than the Chocolate one.
  • I love Pineapple flavour. But I am not very floored by this Lip balm.
  • Other than the flavour it is identical to the chocolate one in all aspects including price.
  • Repurchase: NO

4. Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion  Review :

Nature's co Sunscreen

Ingredients: Red tea Extract, Green Tea Extract, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera Extract, Sesame Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Lotion Base and natural Preservatives

Nature's co Sunscreen

  • NO mention of SPF content!!!!
  • I am yet to encounter any sunscreen which does not display SPF content.
  • When I bought this one, I was too excited to notice that the SPF is not mentioned. Then, at the back of my mind, I thought they would put it on the tube. But there is NO mention of SPF on the bottle.
  • The directions to use simply states that you have to apply this 30 min before you step out in the Sun. Reapply if sweated or washed away with water. So this one is no use to swimmers.
  • To be fair to the product, I am wearing it for the last three days and I have not experienced tan or sun burn. But I’d be comfortable only after knowing the SPF content.
  • If I had seen this in person, I would not have bought it only because of this.
  • Otherwise, the lotion is non-sticky, non-oily and absolutely discrete than any other sunscreen I have ever used. But I cannot rest assure that it is working.
  • I am gonna use it in July, perhaps when the sun is not so harsh.
  • Repurchase: HELL, NO!!!! (Unless they come up with the SPF labeled product)

So there is my online haul from The Nature’s Co.

  • All in all, the products are good quality, hygienic and most importantly natural.
  • All are extremely fragrant and come in generous quantities.
  • The pricing is very reasonable.
  • The packaging is very, very cute and convenient.
  • The delivery was prompt. As they have stores only at Delhi and Mumbai, all the gals outside these cities may need to go for online shopping.
  • I can’t say that the products are exceptionally good and effective, but they are surely worth a try.
  • My experience was 50-50 with these products. But I really, really loved the Choco-Mint lip balm and Foot cream. They are just fabulous. So think twice before you buy them, because you can’t exchange them.
  • I also want to try out their wooden accessories and Essential oils and of course Bath salts. Check them out here- http://www.thenaturesco.com/accessories.htm
  • I also want to get one of their travel kits. So that I get to try different products in small quantities. And there is no fiasco like the Sunscreen. Check out the Gifts and Kits here- http://www.thenaturesco.com/giftsandkits.htm
  • I am very pleased with this brand. And I am gonna order some more.

Have any of you tried this brand??

  1. M, I forgot to mention but I also bought Lemon incense sticks from them and they are amazing. Me too liking the foot cream. :-* Next in line is the lip balm. My body shop lip butter is becoming a pain to apply in this hot weather.

They give bath salts in glass test tubes. They look very cute. 🙂

    1. I already have them saved on my wishlist… Would check them out any day now…

      And they are so affordable… 175/- only… 😀

        1. What bath salts… 😯 !!!! they say 175/- for 75 gms on the website… ?:-) Are they available in small size too??? Coz there can’t be so much diff in pricing na?

  2. i checked out their website too after Rati’s post inspired me too :)… the products look super cute.. how long did they take to deliver?

  3. Their products seem nice. Just read about this sunscreen lotion elsewhere too..wonder why they didn’t mention the SPF!

    1. I am absolutely flummoxed as to why a sunscreen doesn’t bear SPF content… 😯

      Btw… It was 375/- for 125 ml… I forgot to mention its price…

  4. Hi Mrunmayee 🙂
What a timely post. I’ve been wondering about ordering some beauty stuff online from an Indian site, but I’ve always been scared of the outcome. Our notorious sense of ethics and customer service to boot! The products you’ve described seem a bit on the pricey side, but since I’m a sucker for lip balms in any form, I’ll probably cave in. Is there a minimum order amount, what are the shipping charges, how many days do they take to deliver and can the packaging withstand rough handling, are some of the questions that come to mind. Lets see how it all pans out. This is good news though. Buying makeup from home will soon become a reality in India too 🙂

    1. Hello Mukho,
Glad you found the post useful… The products are pricey but quality justifies the cost.
There is no minimum order as such… They charged me around Rs. 60/- for these 4 products but no details were given..

The packaging was strong enough… It took me aknife, a cutter and a pair of scissors to get in!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

You can contact them at their website to ask further questions… :-))

  5. Checked out their range – quite a few nice products there! I’m particularly loving the foot scrub Rati picked up and the Berry Lip Balm. 🙂 Lip balm seems hugely expensive to buy, especially with a no-exchange policy 🙁

      1. I love pampering my feet and this sounds like a really good buy! 🙂 Now I just need to pester my dad for his credit card 😛

Any other reccos for a foot scrub?

    1. I also have my eyes set on the foot scrub…

And you gotta have the Choco one… I mean I can survive on its smell forever… :cute: :cute:

  6. M, if your really liking the chocolate flavoured lip balm…you can also try Lotus Herbals Lip Balm…they have in chocolate and its w SPF 15….

No mention of the SPF factor on Sunscreen!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats like a big blunder, isnt it???

Shud explore this one soon 😉

    1. Oh thanks HD… I already have the Lotus choco lip balm… But this one is something else.. I mean it satisfies my Chocochip sunday cravings… It’s that good…

I know bout the sunscreen… What were they thinking…..

Do explore it and tell me how you like it…. :-))

    1. I had a Forrest Essential body wash some time ago… I was not completely sold by it……

I am liking this one a lot though…
Can’t wait to try out their other products….

  7. M, your haul sounds yummy… one question, is the foot cream sticky? I need one but hate sleeping with sticky feet so just wondering… looks like I’ll have to take myself back to their outlet to explore some

    1. Thanks Renuca….

No the foot cream is not at all sticky… It is quite light and gets absorbed easily even into the heels.. My feet feel fresh and pampered after wearing it..

    1. Thank you Sush……

Well I like to talk a lot So I write a lot too…. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Soo glad you liked it……. :cute: :cute:

    1. Have tried the kajal- horrible, smudged, gave me raccoon eyes.
Got a diamond facial done for 100 bucks before my marriage, saw no difference. Then I got to know that her products are made in very unhygienic conditions. So I totally gave up on them. 🙁

  8. Hi!

This is a lovely review! It will surely help me buy! 🙂
Also, I am kind of just entering college and getting my way around cosmetics. Could you please recommend some more good natural brands in the Indian esp. Mumbai market for me? I have very dry and sensitive skin and am afraid of using chemical products. I tried searching a lot but couldn’t find good natural products here. All I know of are: The Body Shop, The Nature’s Co, Forrest Essentials, LUSH. Are there any others? Could you please help me out? Are there any in a regular college life budget?
