The Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Pop Review

Hello Cupcakes,

How are you all doing? I am enjoying working and doing my fashion designing assignments. I have finally entered the phase where I would be taught how to make sketches. In the past few months, I learnt how to stitch garments and now I can make my own clothes which is super exciting for me. I tried to make some sketches just to boast a bit in front of my teachers. I don’t know how well I created those sketches as I have not been taught or rather don’t know the basics or anything about illustration but still I tried! I am sharing the pictures with you, hope you guys like it 🙂 I personally think I did a good job as a fresher and what’s better than having that feeling? I know I am always talking, so putting an end to my personal talk, I will straight away go to the review now:

The Nature’s Co Blackcurrant Lip Pop Review

This is the third and the last lip pop I got from The Nature’s Co. Let’s see whether it worked in the same way like the Berry and Mango or not!

Price:

INR 295

Claims:

Soft, luscious, moisturized lips are what our Black Currant Lip-pop provides. An all natural formula. It protects and softens lips.

Ingredients:

Shea Butter,Mango Butter, Castor Oil, Vitamin -E & Kokum Butter.

My Experience with The Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Pop:

I seriously have that irresistible habit when it comes to new launches or precisely lip balms. I always get my hands on at least a few from the range or should I confess all of them. “Lip Pops”, isn’t that word so adorable? I mean it sounds like lollipops. They have launched it in plentiful flavors but, at that point I got only 3, so I got all the ones offered. I got Berry, Mango and Black Current.

The packaging is very appealing with a bright violet label on it depicting the Blackcurrant flavor. The lip balm looks nothing special from the rest; the same packaging which is the cylindrical stick with a twisty thing beneath. It is a handy one and the cap doesn’t fall lose anytime. So, I was assured that the cap and the stick wouldn’t separate and ruin my bag.

The price is a bit higher as compared to our routine drug store lip balms. Our everyday lip balms would fit under INR 200 but this was 100 bucks more but, I was cool with it, since I fell in love with the name instantly. Coming to the lip balm, it comes in a dark lilac candy colored stick. The consistency is smooth and buttery and glides on the lips in just one go. Once the lips are layered with the balm, it takes a minute to settle and then the application looks even. It doesn’t settle in the chapped portions at all. The color of the lip balm is very similar to that of a black currant ice cream. The flavor is very unusual and we do not get a lot of black currant lip balms, hence this was really good to try out.

The fragrance is amazing and very fruity and smells exactly like a black currant ice-cream or candy. The fragrance lasted on my lips for 20 minutes and I love whilst it stayed on my lips. It is not over-powering hence, vanishes in a while. The lips balm stays on my lips till like 2 hours and then re-application is needed. It doesn’t go off by drinking water because its waxy but disappears if you have a meal or a snack.

It makes the lips look super healthy and pink although it dos not have a tint, that was the disappointment. Why no tint? But it gave my lips a glossy look which looks great for daily wear. The lips look super happy and healthy. It leaves my lips very hydrated and soft through-out the day even if there is no lip balm on my lips.

I have been using all the 3 variants for a while now and it did a great job to heal my chapped lips during the harsh ongoing season. I think this is something our lips need during winters! After the balm goes away, the lips are still moisturised and feel so soft like a teddy bear. I think for the season, this would make it to a great purchase.

Pros of The Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Pop:

  • Cute packaging with a violet label which justifies the flavor.
  • Travel-friendly and very convenient to use.
  • Smells very fruity like a black current ice-cream.
  • The texture is buttery smooth and glides easily on the lips.
  • Keeps lips hydrated through-out the day and doesn’t let it look chapped.
  • It lasts on my lips for about 2 hours.
  • Over a week, it definitely treated my chapped and dry lips.
  • Comes in a number of different flavors and different colored labels make it easy to distinguish.

Cons of The Nature’s Co. Black Currant Lip Pop:

  • A little heavy texture initially during application (but soon it settles down).
  • A little bit expensive if compared to our routine lip balms.
  • I wish it had a nice berry tint to it.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend The Nature’s Co Black Currant Lip Pop?

As of now, I have 3 of these cuties which would be enough for the current winter and I really can’t predict about the next winter. So, as of now, I am cool with these 3! I totally totally recommend these babies because they worked excellent for me and they will for all of you for sure. My preference out of the 3 would be Berry and Black Currant.

IMBB Rating:

4.9/5

Conclusion:

I guess we each might be having our beloved flavor in this range, so go ahead and pick the one you would love to have. Genuinely, it would be a perfect pick for the current season!
