The Ordinary Buffet Multi-Technology Peptide Serum Review

Hello everyone,

Skincare is one of my major obsessions. I love trying out new launches and it’s an exhilarating feeling when you finally find something that does wonders for your skin, major props if it is inexpensive as well! One of my recent finds is the brand “Ordinary.” The basic philosophy of this brand is that they offer scientific research-backed ingredients which are specifically targeted toward a certain skin issue you want to address, all the while delivering at a fair margin of profit (read-dirt cheap). They offer a whole range of products with mostly a single ingredient (with some exceptions), so that can customize your routine specifically towards what your skin needs. Today, I will be reviewing one of their highly-rated featured product from this brand, which also is one of the few products with “cocktail” ingredients that this brand offers. This review will be on Ordinary Buffet Serum.

My Experience with The Ordinary Buffet Multi-Technology Peptide Serum:

Packaging:  One of the way this brand keeps its products at a very low price is by offering “a no-frill, no-fuss,” simple yet functional packaging. Most of their products are offered in this simple glass vial which may make you feel like a chemist (at least, that’s what my hubby says when he sees me) with your array of vials every night.

Usage and feel on skin:  I simply put 3 drops directly on face, one of the forehead and one on each of the cheeks and pat it in. This serum feels wonderful on the skin. Many of the Ordinary products have an issue with “piling” which means that if you rub the product into your skin, it rolls on itself and forms balls of white residue. This serum also has that issue but very minor compared to the other items from this brand (that I will be reviewing soon). I found the way to combat this issue is by patting the product in and not rubbing it. Also, a little goes a long way, so a few drops are all you need and make sure your face is completely dry before using this serum. Even slightly damp skin will cause major piling.

This serum absorbs quickly with no tacky or sticky feel. I use it as my first step in skincare post cleansing followed by a chemical exfoliant, moisturizer and facial oil in that order. It layers beautifully under other skincare products and also under makeup.

Performance:  I am almost done with my bottle as you can see. This bottle lasted me 3 months of daily nightly use. While it is an anti-aging serum, it will most probably not reverse the signs of ageing once they set in, nothing does that except plastic surgery! It may soften the look of aging on your face but that most you can expect from any product regardless of how expensive or cheap it is. The key to anti-aging is prevention. I am in my late 20s and it’s high time I start thinking about it.

This serum is very effective, but it will not show you results overnight. If you are young like me, you may not even see any difference mostly because your skin will already by in a good place, but with continuous use, I did see an improvement in my skin. My skin feels super supple and there is improvement in that youthful bounce and elasticity. There is a noticeable radiance to my skin. I have more good skin days rather than bad skin days. I also use this around and under my eyes as well and did find the fine lines around them to look softer. This product does not have a strong scent and the mild scent is not offensive.

Overall, I think this is an excellent addition to your skincare routine. It just keeps your skin looking healthy while delivering strong dose of skin improving ingredients beneficial in the long run. This is one of the best inexpensive serums you will find in the market. I have already placed an order for my next bottle to come in. I highly recommend this.
