theBalm Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil – Jac B. Bronze Review

Hello Pretty Damsels!!!

This is the second product I bought from the brand “The Balm” and I know most of the Youtubers and consumers out there like this brand, but I am still a bit iffy about it because like the last product that I reviewed, even this one is a bit “meh.” Keep reading to know why I am so happy with this product.

My Take on Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil – Jac B. Bronze:

I am not that fond of colored eyeliners because I don’t get to wear them as often and I can’t find enough use out of them, but they still cost equal to the more often used black and brown liners which I wear way more often, that’s why there is a lack of enthusiasm for this product.

Packaging:  Skinny, plastic pencil which is silver in color and has a cap which represents the color of the liner. The product is set inside the plastic casing and is dispensed via a twist-up mechanism.

Color:  One swatch gives a nice bronze color with warm undertones (more on the brown side) and can be intensified to a certain extent by a couple of more swipes.

Pigmentation:  For $17, it is expected to give good pigmentation and it does gives a good color payoff; however, it is not at all buttery to apply because it tugs and pulls a lot when applied on upper and lower lids and is also prone to breakage which is ironical since it is not buttery enough to be that fragile.  Its performance disappointed me because it hurt the sensitive skin around my eyes and I didn’t expect such an expensive eyeliner to perform in such a painful manner.

Shimmer and Shine:  It has shimmer but does not contain over the top glitter which would go all over the place and give a messy finish.

Wear Time:  This product is waterproof, sweat proof and tear proof and gives an impressive wear time. The line drawn by this liner stays almost crisp and precise till the end of the day and can be removed with ease at the end of the day.

This product could have been really amazing if not for the hard and brittle texture which is prone to breakage and also hurts sensitive skin around eyes. It hurts my pocket a lot because I spent $17 on a product I didn’t enjoy using at all.

Would I Repurchase Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil – Jac B. Bronze?
No, because it is expensive, it hurts the skin around my eyes, is not at all creamy or buttery and is not that easy to apply; since the cons overshadow the pros, I would not recommend this product.
