My Experience with TheBlam Schwing Black Liquid Eyeliner
I think apart from the bronzer and illuminator from theBalm, one of the product that I was most excited was the Shwing Black Liquid Eyeliner. But I am rather left disappointed with this eyeliner. I am someone who uses liquid liner a lot on a day to day basis. But I personally prefer the liquid eyeliners in pen form. This one has a softest and thin felt tip liner so I was really ready for a nice chance. Plus, I had heard so many good words about this liner that my expectations were rather high with this one.
Let’s start with the packaging. I think it’s super fun both for the outer carton and the tube itself. 3 girls checking out a guy’s bootay! loll!! very cute. The container part of the tube is rather smaller than the handle / wand part of the tube. And that’s the problem. Even though the felt tip liner is super soft and thin, the length of the wand is so long that it does not give your full control over your liner application. I would really call my liner application skills pretty decent, I find it difficult to use.
The pigmentation is gorgeous. It’s jet black and super matte. Absolutely love that intense matte finish of the liner. Plus one swipe applies as a full on intense color that there is no worries about building up the color.
It does not sting the eyes.
There is no crumbling or fading or feathering of the liner until the end of the day.
This liner is so bad in the waterproof area that a single tear of the eye breaks down the formula and makes it go all over the place.
Sometimes my eyes get watery on the edges while applying makeup. This liner made it painful for me to create a winged eyeliner because it would just not stay. You can however use it on top of a pencil eyeliner. That would make the lasting power better. One its own you’d be worried about it smudging even if a single tear drop from your eye would touch it.
Overall, not happy with this one at all. Both the formula and the packaging need to be worked on.
