TIGI Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo Review

Dry shampoos have become totally essential these days since we really don’t have the time to wash our hair, as and when needed. I love dry shampoos and definitely like trying out and experimenting with different brands. I was on some shopping spree recently, and this black bottle with punk detailing caught my attention. I totally went mad because my dry shampoos were almost over and picked this one up immediately. Let’s see whether this satisfied the purpose or not!

My Experience with TIGI Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo:

TIGI bed head has a very noticeable USP, i.e. their packaging. Their packaging is done with expertise and each and every product looks gorgeous. This has a similar story. The TIGI rock-a-holic dry shampoo comes in a tall cylindrical bottle in black. It has a design over it in silver which adds glamour to the packaging. The bottle is accompanied by a green cap. The packaging is perfect! It has a very funky, punk type packaging that I totally adore. I wouldn’t be comfortable to carry it around because the bottle is super huge. Hence, it wouldn’t fit in the travel-friendly category. The nozzle is exactly like that of an air freshener.

The spray nozzle is very easy and convenient to use. I keep the nozzle a lot of more above my hair and then spray. The spray is clear, but when it gets accumulated on my roots, I can see a whitish cast. I keep the spray a lot farther than usual, but still that whitish cast appears. The technique is to massage the dry shampoo and rub it so that the shampoo cleans the hair and the whitish cast goes away. Usually after rubbing, the white colour lightens down. I have light brown hair, hence it is not much visible.

But, it will be very much noticeable on black hair. It needs at least 5 minutes to settle down and to work its magic. After rubbing, I can see the oil going away and after some time my hair looks oily free. The greasy roots gets transformed into fresh tresses. It nicely absorbs the oil and if you notice any oil, you can try one more spray. Also, it added a little volume to my roots. The style created with this is very dirty and messy. And, I love that style because it is so much in trend these days.

If you have very sleek and straight hair, this might just create a very artificial look and weigh your hair down. It made my roots slightly hard and crunchy at the beginning, but that settles down after a while. But when I run my fingers through the roots, it feels a little thick and powdery. That is fine because I think all the dry shampoos have that effect. The effects stay for a day and I can be totally assured that this will make my hair manageable on days when I cannot wash it.

• The product is easy to use; spray it on the oily hair and massage a bit
• It does get rid of all the oil and makes my hair look fresh
• The fragrance is a very refreshing one and smells very citrusy, mainly of lemons
• It lifts up the roots and gives volume
• It gives a nice, messy texture to the hair and this messy look is so much in vogue these days
• The price is good as most of the dry shampoos cost the same, and adding to that this is not a drug store brand

Cons of TIGI Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo:

• It leaves a white, powdery cast on the hair; if you have dark coloured hair, you need to be careful
• The look given by the dry shampoo will not look good if you have sleek hair; this gives a messy look
• The roots might become a little crunchy and stiff initially
• The effects last only for a day

Will I Repurchase/Recommend TIGI Bed Head Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo?
Yes, I’ll probably repurchase it. This brand is easily available, hence I would recommend it to the people who stay here. But, if you have access to overseas stuff, then get Batiste. It can totally beat this! But, this is decent enough to be tried too.
