Tips and Toes Stay On Eye Pencil Review
Hi all Lovely Ladies!!! This is my second review on another Tips and Toes product that I am thoroughly in love with. I am happy-that although I bought the Tips and Toes Gel Eye Liner without finding any reviews or feedback on them, it did not disappoint me at all. On the contrary it has egged me on to try another product from this brand-the Stay On Eye Pencil-which for me-has scored more than Maybelline Eye Studio ones. So here is the review.
Tips and Toes Stay On Eye Pencil (Sparkling Black): Price: I bought it at Rs 250 couple of months back
The pencil is about six inches in length with a transparent plastic cap. The body of the pencil is not wood but soft plastic I guess- that sharpens very easily. The etchings on the body say this pencil is manufactured in Federal Republic of Germany and imported by Shingar cosmetics in India. The material of the liner looks jet black, with visible fine silvery glitters on it.
The pencil liner is extremely soft and creamy and glides on like a dream. In this respect I find it even better that Colorbar I Glide and Maybelline Eye Studio pencils. Inspite of the creamy nature this liner is absolutely smudge proof and it settles on my eyelids (which are somewhat oily) within a few seconds and doesn’t budge for the whole day. The pigmentation is very good-and what I like most-is that the shimmer is visible. This is where I compare it with Avon Glimmersticks as I find the shimmer-power of this Tips and Toes pencil better. Now the swatches:
The first pic has the swatch. The second pic has the swatch after v-e-r-y hard smudging (No one rubs eyes that hard :D). The pencil is so easy to glide that it can be used to make a 2 minute winged eye.
Now the Pros and Cons:
Pros of Tips and toes Stay on Place Eye Pencil
1) Extremely soft and creamy. One swipe is enough to make a line that is dark enough and long staying
2) The shimmer shows up very nicely. Good for everyday wear as the little special-effect-on-eyes ☺
4) Absolutely non smudging after it settles. Stays all day long
5) Can be used on lower lash line without stinging.
6) Very easy to sharpen-not brittle-till now inspite of dropping several times-the tip hasn’t broken once.
7) Price is reasonable
Cons: Nothing at all. Just wish there were more colors-especially plum and emerald green.
I was very happy that my favorite cricketer has scored a swashbuckling century in the last IPL match (guess who??) and so did a little FOTD with this eye pencil ☺. Do any of you ladies catch IPL??
Face: Lakme Perfect radiance Compact in Golden Medium
Eyes: Little eye priming with Lakme Crème Compact (yes I often use it that way-since my lids are oily-the crème compact gives a dry-matte base and the liner/shadows don’t fade easily) and the Tips and toes Stay On Eye Pencil on upper and lower lids.
Lips: AVON Simply Pretty Simply Color Bliss Lipstick in Rick Terracotta
