Top 10 Tips For Applying False Lashes

Hi Everyone,

In today’s post, I have compiled a list of top 10 tips that make wearing false lashes super easy. False lashes aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and the biggest reason for that is that most of us are afraid of getting the application wrong. Applying false lashes can seem complicated and even difficult, but it doesn’t have to be so. Here are a few simple tips that will help you sport false lashes like a pro:

1. Apply the Lash Glue to Your Lash Line and Not on the False Lashes:

It is always much easier to apply the lash glue to your lash line than to the false lashes (as this requires very precise application). You can do this in the manner that you would apply eyeliner, after which you can simply stick the false lashes on.

2. For Controlled Application, Apply the Glue with a Bobby Pin:

Applying the lash glue with a bobby pin will give you controlled and precise application, and will help you avoid the tackiness that comes with excess glue.

3. Remove Excess Glue with a Pair of Tweezers:

If you accidentally put too much glue on, you can carefully pull it out with a pair of tweezers.

4. The Drier the Glue, the Better the Application:

Wait to put on the lashes for at least 40-50 seconds after applying the glue. Once the glue is semi-dry, it will help the falsies stick to your lash line better.

5. For a More Dramatic Look, Stack the False Lashes Together:

If you want to go for a super dramatic look with your lashes, stack two pairs of lashes together and then put them on.

6. Cut your False Lashes into Half for a Natural Look:

For a more natural look, cut the false lashes into half and apply them only to the outer corner. Alternatively, you could wear individual lashes on the outer corner.

7. Wrap the Lashes Around a Makeup Brush for a Curled Look:

To get a fluttery, curled look with your lashes, you can wrap your falsies around the handle of a makeup brush for 15-20 seconds and then put them on.

8. Trim the False Lashes in Order to Match Your Eye Shape:

Your eye shape is unique which is why it’s useful to get the falsies to match up to it. Hold the false lashes against your lash line to measure your eye shape and trim the falsies accordingly before applying them.

9. Place the Mirror in Such a Way That You Look Down While Applying the Lashes:

This is an important tip to keep in mind while applying lashes. Place the mirror beneath your face rather than in front of it, so that you can put the lashes on with ease.

10. Apply More Glue to the Inner and Outer Corners of the Lashes:

Your false lashes are more likely to come off from either the inner corner or the outer corner if they have not adhered to your lash line properly. Make sure to apply a little extra glue to both the inner corner and the outer corner for secure and long-lasting application.
