Tips & Toes Dual Blush Autumn Review

REVIEW, SWATCHES, FOTD on TIPS AND TOES DUAL BLUSH (AUTUMN SHADE)

Hello pretty ones! Today am doing my first review on blushes. It is my birthday tomorrow (14th sep) and it would mean a lot to me if you like my review. Blushes were never an important part of my make up regimen until recently when I came across some wonderful FOTDs on IMBB. I never thought that they could make a face have a healthy glow.

My sister got married last year and I did her make up. I was in charge of compiling her make up stuff, and my budget was not very high considering that my sis never used much make up then, and blushes were an unknown territory for her too! I picked up Tips and Toes dual blush for her in a pale pink shade (don’t remember the name exactly). It worked for her as she is really fair, but on my wheatish complexion, it didn’t even show up! I was happy for her but disappointed for myself and jumped to the conclusion that maybe every blush would have the same effect on my skin tone(what was I thinking! Lol). Anyway, I picked up this particular shade “autumn” recently hoping this would work for me. I cannot afford high end brands and this proved to be a boon for me! Read on to see why I am calling this a boon.

Packaging: it comes in a grey cardboard box covering with a pretty design in dark grey. The box reveals a gorgeous shining silver blush palette which actually can serve as a mirror too. I love the way it has “dual blush” written on it in cursive hand 😀

Price : Rs.295 ( I got it at a discount price) for 4.5 gm of product
Key ingredients:

The palette comes with a colored blush, a highlighter and a super cute tiny brush.

Talking about the brush, have you seen anything cuter before? 😀 it picks up the right amount of product and the bristles are soft too, quite unlike the crappy brushes we get in make up palettes!

Now coming to the colors, I am absolutely in love with this shade. The darker shade is a nice warm peach shade and the highlighter is beige one. They have got tiny shimmers but they don’t show at all when applied on cheeks. Although personally, I feel using only the dark shade is better for day time. For those parties at night, you can add the highlighter as well! It is decently pigmented , gives a warm glow to my face and the finish is satiny. The blush is not at all chalky and blends really well. It stays on for more than 4 hours on me which is more than enough I think. Here are the swatches

The blush (read the peach shade) would suit every complexion. But the highlighter may look whitish on darker complexions. Over all, I find this a good value for money, and the perfect blush for beginners like me. Finally, here are the FOTDs ( I am nervous 😛 ). I had to use a good amount so that the camera would catch the color. I have skipped any eye makeup and just have the blush on along with a coral lippy from Avon which I blotted after swiping once.

Pros:
1. Very affordable. Getting a blush and a highlighter together at that price is too good.
2. Nicely pigmented
3. Staying power good
4. Satiny finish
5. Good brush
6. Stylish looking palette
7. Decent quantity

Cons:
None that I can find! 😀

Eagerly waiting for your comments. 🙂  tata until next time. Keep smiling, keep glowing . 🙂
