Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream Review

Hello friends,

Hope 2015 is treating you with endless moments of happiness and blessings with your family and dear ones. I am definitely enjoying this year with lovely surprise gestures from my hubby and friends,  God bless my hubby’s colleagues who often shop and motivate him as well to utilize their lunch hours doing holiday shopping 😛 Anyway, let’s talk about this luxury beauty Tocca.  Tocca beauty inspired by Italian word “Touch” is dedicated to deliver luxury feel and they launched a couple of hand creams lately, one of which I will review today called “Giulietta.”

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

Giulietta is the tale of never-ending love affair of Italian director Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina (as we dive deep into its green apple and pink tulip notes).  Honestly, I didn’t knew about them before receiving this mysterious hand cream 😛 A little googling informed me that lady Giulietta was an Italian actress and also branded as “female chaplin” of the 1940s era owing to her performances depicting naïve negative characters. Lady Giulietta and her director husband Fellini loved each other immensely.  Giulietta died within 5 months of her husband’s funeral at the age of 73 and they both are buried together at Rimini cemetery in tomb marked by prow-shaped monument, the work of sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, how romantic and emotional, isn’t it? I was quite thrilled to know the secret behind this romantic musky beauty treat. Moreover, this is my first Tocca beauty treat and I am head-over-heels in love with it. So, please read on further to know more about Tocca Beauty Giulietta Hand Cream.

Price: $10 for 2 fl oz (60 ml), my hubby bought a set of two hand creams along with roller balls duo for $10.

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

Product Description:

The love story of Italian director Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina comes alive in this sweet, floral scent reminiscent of their Corsican honeymoon. Sweet green apple and blooming pink tulips whisper to their never-ending love affair.  Enriched with natural extracts from coconut oil, shea butter, and aloe, this moisturizing, quick-absorbing hand cream will leave your skin feeling soft and silky.

Packaging:

This luxury hand cream comes in an ordinary plastic tube packaging with flip top cap opening. Nothing fancy but the product inside is worth every penny, especially when you get it at a good deal.  The mini roller balls are quite decent, not much to my liking. The scent does last longer, but I like it more in the hand cream than in the form a perfume. It smells heavenly and romantic as per its claim, I feel it smells slightly musky to my taste. Thankfully, the smell is quite mild and not overpowering, and it lingers on for a few hours.

My Experience with Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream:

Well, as I said, it is intensely hydrating and rich in texture unlike other hand creams I have used before. However, it may not be much hydrating for dry/chapped hands especially in winters considering that I need to re-apply small amount of cream twice or thrice a day for soft and supple hands. What so ever, it is definitely effective against normal dryness caused by excessive cold or heavy duty kitchen/laundry work.

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

I have quite an oily facial skin while the rest of my skin seems to be normal to combination type as I tend to develop dry hands faster during winters or after heavy laundry/kitchen task and this Giulietta hand cream definitely took care of my dry and wilted hands from winters. Though I am not convinced about using it in summers due to its rich texture which often results in sweaty hands sometimes, especially during sunny winters. Yes gals, a little drop of hand cream is good to hydrate hands for 4-5 hours. I won’t say it gives me greasy hands because it does absorb completely after massaging onto skin and I do get dry yet hydrated skin for good hours, but after some time, I develop sweating from hands and I often wash hands to get rid of sweat, especially if I am working on the laptop or going out. However, it only happens during hot and humid days and not always.  I am impressed to see that my hands remain soft and smooth even after rinsing this cream off the skin.

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

I am already bowled over its mild and long-lasting scent which lingers on for several hours though it tends to fade away with each passing hour, but you can sniff it still after 8-10 hours. Overall, I would prefer this cream anytime over TBS hand creams for maintaining softness of my hands, only for winters though. Gals, you can try it if you have normal dry hands.  It is more like a luxury treat to normal dry hands to maintain their softness rather than treating dryness or xerosis type dry, chapped skin, you know what I mean?

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream:

  • A luxury hand cream infused with the goodness of shea butter, coconut oil and aloe vera extract.
  • Quite rich in texture, provides prolonged hydration and softness to normal dry hands.
  • A little drop is enough for both hands.
  • Absorbs quickly upon massaging into the skin within a few minutes with no greasy feel at all.
  • Quite rich and heavenly scent, kind of musky, lingers on for several hours without being overpowering.
  • Does help in replenishing moisture loss from hands that happens with kitchen/laundry work.
  • Gives me at least 4-5 hours of intense hydration, thereby fading a bit.
  • I feel the aroma and soft hands even after rinsing off the cream with water.
  • Instantly soothes wilted skin due to excessive cold wind and dryness.
  •  A paraben-free hand cream available in travel pack and full size.

Cons of Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream:

  • Not for excessively dry skin (except in summers).
  • My hands start to sweat on humid days with this cream.

Tocca Giulietta Crema Da Mano Hand Cream

Well, apart from the sweating issue, I don’t have any major complaint from this hand cream, I love it over TBS creams and even Josie Maran Argan Infused Cream. I think it will definitely make winters a bliss with its intense hydration for my normal dry hands, though I wouldn’t use it in summers.

IMBB Rating: I would give it 4/5!
