Rounding up my review of the Tom Ford lip colors from the “Lips and Boys” collection, let me say, that I have saved the best for the last. This review will be on the Tom Ford Lips and Boys Collection in the shade “64 Hiro.”
Tom Ford Lip Color is filled with rare and exotic ingredients including soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil to create an ultra-creamy texture with an incredibly smooth application. Specially treated color pigments are blended to deliver pure color with just the right balance of luminosity.
Since this is a mini lipstick, it retails for $35 each.
My Experience with Tom Ford Hiro #64 Lips and Boys Lip Color:
Packaging: It’s such a gorgeous yet sophisticated lipstick tube which screams luxury. The lipstick is housed in a rectangular tube with shiny black and gold accents with “TF” embossed on the top of the cap and on the lipstick itself. The only complaint I have with the packaging is that all the lipsticks look exactly the same, hence if you want to grab a certain color you would have to read the label sticker underneath each lipstick.
Texture and Application: This lipstick is very smooth and creamy. It slips across your lips without any tug. Even with a couple of layers, it does not feel heavy on the lips. I do find the application very easy and precise with the shape of the bullet.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Hiro” is a warm reddish-orange lip color with a golden metallic sheen. I absolutely adore this shade. It gives such a unique look to the lips while also being a flattering summery shade. This shade will suit all skin tones.
The shimmers in this lip color are not gritty and you cannot detect them individually on the lips. It’s just a smooth even finish on the lips which as you step out in the light makes you lips glimmer and glow in an eye-catching way. This shade is my favorite out of all.
Pigmentation and Feel on lips: Pigmentation is great. It comes fully opaque in 2-3 swipes. This lipstick made my lips feel very comfortable. It is moderately hydrating. It does not cling to or accentuate dry patches on my lips.
It does not accentuate dry patches or fine lines on my lips.
Staying Power: Staying power is good. It stays on my lips for 5-6 hours with light snacks and drinks with slight fading. It will not survive a full meal and will need reapplication. It does fade evenly, leaving a soft stain behind.
Overall, I think this shade is an absolute must have. This truly will be one of my most cherished lipsticks in my collection.
