My Experience with Tom Ford Lip Color Matte 04 Thomas:

The packaging of the lipstick is pretty and luxurious. The lipstick tube comes housed in a dark brown colored cardboard box with detailing on it in gold fonts. The box bears some necessary product-related information. The lipstick tube looks really luxe. I love the gold detailing on it. The lipstick tube is tiny. It bears a label at the bottom bearing the shade name. The tube closes securely with a nice snap closure. The lipstick bullet helps with precise application. Overall, the packaging is beautiful and travel friendly.

“Thomas” is a beautiful cool-toned medium mauve pink kind of a color without any sheen. It has a pretty lilac hue. The shade is just so beautiful and great for everyday wear. The color is flattering for fair to medium skin tones nicely. The lipstick sets to a nice semi-matte finish. The formula is amazingly pigmented. It gives bold and opaque coverage in just two swipes. It hides pigmentation of the lips easily and gives beautiful opaque finish. The lipstick has a nice vanilla fragrance, which is slightly strong and lasts for long, so it may be bothersome for some people.

The texture of the lipstick is smooth, but it is not uber creamy, but it does not drag the lips either. This type of a formula is probably because of the matte formulation, so it is necessary to prep the lips well for a smoother and even lipstick application. It highlights the dry patches of the lips, which is the case with most of the matte lip colors.

The formula is lightweight and comfortable on the lips. The formula is non-drying and the lipstick keeps my lips hydrated all the time. It does not smear or feather even upon layering. It does not settle into the fine lines of my lips, but if you have extremely dry lips, I would suggest to deeply nourish the lips as it would emphasize the lip lines because of the matte finish. It does have a little tendency to transfer.

The longevity of the lipstick is somewhere around 6 hours on my lips with a little fading. It does not completely survive heavy meals and requires reapplication. The lipstick is easy to remove and does not stain the lips.
