Tom Ford Pussycat 04 Matte Lip Color Review, Swatch

My Experience :

I absoluuutely adore Tom Ford lipsticks. And these matte ones are my absolute favs. I have reviewed 3 of these Ruby Rush, Flame and Velvet Cherry HERE.

I could not find a Tom Ford counter this time around during my trip except in Lisbon I found a counter that sold only perfumes and lipsticks. PLUS. They had a beautiful girl working at the counter who was wearing this lipstick. And I got obsessed. 😛 I bought it solely because it was looking so stunning on her. And also Pussycat (very interesting name) is the kind of shade that is universally flattering on all skin tones.

Pussycat 04  is a cool toned mauve pink shade that works on just every skin tone. I love the creamy matte formula of these lipsticks. The lipstick goes on super opaque. So even if you have pigmented lips, you can totally use this lipstick on its own.

The staying power is around 5 hours on me and it fades evenly. I do not find these lipsticks either hydrating or moisturising but the creamy formula is quite comforting on lips.

There is a lovely vanilla smell to these lipsticks but no taste as such.

The lipstick does not bleed or smudge. It transfers a little. It also feels light on lips. It does not accentuate the fine lines of the lips but since the formula is matte, it’s always a good idea to exfoliate your lips a little before using these lipsticks.

The packaging is gorgeous classic TF black and gold.

Overall, I am obsessed. I would always repurchase these lipsticks. These may come with a luxury price tag but none of these lipsticks have ever disappointed. So worthy of having a place in your makeup kitty. 🙂

Swatch :

On the SA, who was like 5 times fairer than I am the color was looking much darker…pretty much the exact shade as you see in the hand swatch. On me it looks much lighter and cool toned. 🙂

And when I have to make it a little warmer and pinker, I use it with a pink lip pencil such as MAC Soar.
