My Experience with Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss Love Bruise:
Recently, I have become a fan of Tom Ford lip colors, especially the “Lips and Boys” collection. Here are some shades that I have reviewed on IMBB from this collection – Mitchell and Richard. This time, I have picked Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in the shade “Love Bruise.” The name “Love Bruise” is so very romantic, if you let your thoughts run wild 😜 😜.
This lip gloss comes packaged in a sturdy, good quality, rectangular-shaped tube with a dark brown coloured screw on cap which has a long handled brush applicator attached to it. This sophisticated-looking tube is then packed in a self-designed dark brown coloured cardboard box. This packaging can be termed travel friendly.
“Love Bruise” is a beautiful, high-shine plum shade, with in-built mild golden-coloured sparkles which do not show up much on the lips. The sparkle is iridescent, smooth and mild textured. It does not feel gritty or obvious. This gloss has a creamy texture and gives a glossy high shine finish to my lips. It applies smoothly and evenly.
The long brush applicator is easy to hold and enables easy and smooth application. Two swipes give an opaque finish to my pigmented lips. It does not feel sticky or gummy. This shade suits my pigmented lips and moderately fair skin tone. I sometimes use it on its own or layer it over similar lip colours. This shade is nicely pigmented. Lasting power is two to three hours.
It starts to fade once I ingest any liquid or food. Fades evenly, without leaving any stain on my lips. Even after the lip gloss fades off, my lips feel soft and smooth. This lip gloss keeps my lips looking fuller and moisturised throughout the wear time and even after. It does not dry or dehydrate my sensitive lips. In my opinion, no lip exfoliation is required prior to applying this lip gloss. It keeps my lips looking younger and fresher.
It does not accentuate dry skin or wrinkles. I prefer using it when my lips tend to be extra dry or sensitive. It keeps my lips hydrated and feel good. This shade can be used on a daily basis or on special occasions. I use it for evening outings and on special occasions.
I always carry this tube with me, so that I can reapply as and when required. I am very impressed with Tom Ford Ultra-Shine Lip Gloss in the shade “Love Bruise.” Superb quality is the word, however, it’s a bit pricey. However, I feel it’s worth the price. Believe me, this is the best lip gloss I have used till date.
