Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair Review

Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair Review

Hello beautiful people,

This is my first hair-care post for IMBB! We are going to talk about shampoo for dry hair from the Toni and Guy Cleanse range – one of the products I chanced upon in my search for a cheaper shampoo for dry hair nirvana. 😛  A few years back, it suddenly occurred to me that coloring and highlighting my hair was as necessary as breathing and of course, I didn’t bother much about the post hair-care regime one is supposed to maintain.  Soon, hell followed in the disguise of hair fall, frizz and dullness. Whatever shampoo, whatever conditioner, whatever masque, whatever treatment I tried – my dearest locks refused to accept any. Finally, I tried Wella SP’s Balance and ever since, my hair hasn’t been better 😀  But unfortunately, it comes at a price I really seem to mind.  So, of late, I have been on the lookout for a similar shampoo with a little generous price tag. That’s what leads me to getting my hands on this one.

My Experience with Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair:

The shampoo comes in a long bottle which is pretty much same as the Schawrzkopf ones, with a flip-flop opening which I am personally fond of big time! The texture is creamy, a bit on the runnier side, so you gotta be careful when you squeeze the body. The first thing I liked about this shampoo was the way it smelled. God, it’s divine. Only two things that smell better than this in my bath are the TBS shower gels. It’s a light punch of fruity and flowery chords, so heavenly that I kept sniffing my hair for hours after I washed it. 😛

This is my third shampoo on the cheaper-nirvana lookout. Previous ones, Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydration and Time Repair – both were okay but nothing close to Wella SP. *sob sob*  Toni & Guy Cleanse, however, turned the table in some fashion!  It provides my dry locks of excellent nourishment and more importantly, kills the frizz almost completely. I love how it doesn’t look like a nest anymore. 😛

It’s very similar to Wella SP Hydrate 😀 😀 But if I go overboard with styling, mousses, waxes, creams and sprays – twice a week washing proves to be a bit difficult. That is one place where Wella rocks.

Pros of Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair:

  • Excellent nourishment and hydration to dry scalp and hair.
  • Doesn’t cause any hairfall or breakage to even the most troublesome, ruined hair.
  • Hair feels super soft and smooth.
  • Treats unruly frizz and dullness with great effect. No more chiriya ka ghoshla 😛
  • LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE the smell!

Cons of Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair:

  • Expensive.
  • Not exactly for a pre-style wash.  I would go back to Wella if I feel like straightening or doing some waves or anything including chemicals.

Overall Thoughts:

I don’t remember the last time I was so happy with a hair-care product. It’s just perfect! I have been having good hair days rather often these days. 😀 As they say, sometimes, you just need one bit of brilliance to get you hooked to a brand. First impressions are so important. *wink wink* And I can assure you that I’m totally checking out Toni and Guy!!

Do I Recommend Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair?

Yes, yes, YES! You gotta check this one out if you have dry hair of any sort. Little dry or dry dry or shitty dry! 😛 I would also recommend this to anyone suffering from post-styling traumas or major hair-damage.

Would I Repurchase Toni and Guy Cleanse Shampoo for Dry Hair?

I totally think so. Finding Wella SP Hydrate combined with Toni and Guy Cleanse is pretty much hitting the jackpot regarding shampoo for dry hair nirvana! Peace. I couldn’t be happier.

  1. Nice review…. *oye balle*
But errmmm…..errr…… Where’s the ingredients list? *specs*
Is it sulphate, silicons & paraben free?

  2. I couldn’t find a list on their website *waaa* *waaa* From what it says on the back of the bottle, it contains Sodium Laureth Sulphate & Tea-sulphate, no parabens or silicons!

I checked it with my hairstylist, she said it will be okay. 🙂

  6. Hey. Sounds like a great shampoo! I really wanna give a try to Toni and Guy products. But one question, Does it efficiently remove oil from hair? I have dry hair and make it a point to oil my hair real well a night before I wash it so yea any experience with that?
