Toni & Guy Refresh-it Dry Shampoo

A lot of us work busy jobs, some of you are married and have kids to take care of in addition to daily work and chores. In the midst of all the chaos that makes up a day sometimes we may not have the luxury of time – shampooing does take time, especially if you have long hair and then conditioning afterward, brushing, styling…man! Not a lot of us have that much of time on a busy Monday. Dry shampoo comes in handy at such times. I’ve always wanted to try it but never found it in India till now. I got this on one of the online shopping websites during a sale.
toni & guy refresh it dry shampoo
Price: About INR 950
Quantity: 200 ml
What the product claims:
No time to wash your hair? No problem. Use this to refresh your style in between shampoos, mattifies and boosts volume.
Directions: Shake can well and hold 10 cm (4 in.) away from your hair. Spray liberally, concentrating on the roots. If spray fails to work, remove nozzle and rinse in warm water, replace pointing away from face.
Salon tip: Get creative, use as a styling aid for incredible volume and a super matte finish.

Towards the middle of the week my hair starts getting greasy and I when I don’t find the time to shampoo I spray this on. The packaging is simple but the cap is very flimsy – it keeps slipping off, which is annoying considering I spent so much on the product.

When you spray the product on, it feels very cool on your hair and scalp, like a jet of cold air hitting you, and it sort of sets your hair down. Usually hair that hasn’t been washed in a couple of days tends to feel greasy and weighed down. This sort of reduces that, and makes your hair feel very light. You need to examine your hair carefully in the mirror though, because sometimes this powdery white film may be left on your hair because of the spray. Once you’re done you just have to comb/brush your hair and that’s it!

I personally liked it more for the convenience than for the product’s qualities, as I don’t really have any other dry shampoo to compare it with. I wouldn’t say it’s a must-buy, but it doesn’t hurt to have it with you in case of emergencies.
To sum up–

Pros of Toni & Guy Refresh-it Dry Shampoo

• Convenient to use
• Makes hair lighter and less greasy – i.e. does its job
• Can be used when you want to style your hair too

Cons of Toni & Guy Refresh-it Dry Shampoo

• The price is steep
• The spray can’s lid isn’t designed very well – keeps falling off
• Leaves a white residue sometimes on hair

After a lot of thinking I’ll give it a 3.5/5. But I’d say give it a try once!!

IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Would I repurchase: I’d like to try the same product from some other brand if I find it ☺ so maybe not.

I think its one of those products which is very convenient and saves a hell lot of time..especially for girls having long hair like me!

It is! Though you’d have to evenly spray it on for long hair and make sure it reaches all parts of your hair 🙂
