Today’s review is about this beautiful product I found during my Sephora visit while I was standing in the checkout line. It was totally an impulse purchase because of its attractive packaging & also, I was little surprised to see this Korean brand. Let’s see whether it’s actually worth the investment!
What it does:
Bbo Bbo Lip Balm’s light texture makes lips feel like honey. It is a cult-favorite amongst Korean pop stars, and “Bbo Bbo” means “kiss” in Korea. This clear-colored balm is infused with hydrating ingredients that include vitamin E and either honey or blueberry extract. Its soft fragrance leaves lips with an irresistible scent, and it’s great for wearing alone or layering with your favorite lipstick.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
-Melt onto fingers and softly spread it on the lips.
-Using a lip brush, apply Bbo Bbo Lip Balm to the center of lips to prevent cracked lips.
My Experience with Tony Moly Honey Bbo Bbo Lip Balm:
The very obvious major draw into this product is its packaging. It is cute, shiny & looks good on the vanity table, but it surely isn’t something which I would like to carry around my sling bag or purse because of two reasons; first, it is little big/wide to carry around as compared to stick lip balms.
Second, the balm is in tub form and every time I want to apply it on the go, I have to remove the first lip shaped cap & then the second Tony Moly cap to reach out for the product and also, I end up dipping my fingers in it which is not hygienic at all.
After experiencing all this, I have started using it at home & I love it like that. I find it very moisturizing & hydrating. As per my routine, I moisturise my lips before bed and I wake up with pretty and soft lips in the morning. I also use it as a first base for lipstick as it’s very smooth & not sticky. It is a clear balm and so you don’t have to worry about the color residue on your fingers.
For daytime use, I just need two little swipes of it and my lips are fully covered and feel baby soft. I don’t feel the need to apply it again. There is also a Blueberry variant, but I don’t know how that one smells, but this Honey one smells like natural honey; very pleasant!
With this price range, it is a very good lip balm to use everyday if you compare it with any good drugstore brand. I have been using it for a month now & I can still see using it for next couple of months.
Pros of Tony Moly Honey Bbo Bbo Lip Balm:
• Cute packaging
• Very hydrating
• Smells of honey
• Reasonably priced
• Sulfate free
• Contains Vitamin E
Cons of Tony Moly Honey Bbo Bbo Lip Balm:
• Not travel friendly
Would I Recommend Tony Moly Honey Bbo Bbo Lip Balm?
Yes, it is genuinely a very good product if you can let go of the fact that it comes in a tub.
