Ever since I remember, I disliked being pale and pasty. I have always loved Anna Kournikova’s and JLo’s skin tones – very honey like. I used to love the fact that every summer vacation, I played in the sun so much that I would turn all golden, but alas, school got over and so did the happy vacations.  Around 3-4 years back, we didn’t know much about normal makeup, forget about a bronzer.  Lipsticks were for weddings and eyeshadows were only for actresses, but thankfully, those days are gone. Speaking of “I don’t have to live with pasty pale skin any more and the bronzer is my best friend” all year long.  These days, thanks to Kim  Kardashian, contouring and highlighting are having their major moments and a ton of women try to achieve that. but for some reason, I hate the packing on of multiple foundations on the face mostly because after 2 hours, it starts looking hideous and it is definitely not practical for a normal person.  A slight contouring or highlighting looks a lot more clean and it does enhance your natural look! This is very similar to Benefit Hoola and MAC Harmony.

My Take on Too Faced Endless Summer 16 Hour Long Wear Bronzer:

I was discussing bronzers with a friend last year and she was like “but we can’t wear all this in India,” I most definitely proved her wrong while wearing this in Indian local trains and getting complemented 😛 Like I said, the key is – just swipe it across the cheeks, upper forehead, and the jawline for a sun-kissed look.  This Too Faced baby is so versatile, it’s matte but has a teeny gleam to it, so it does give a light glow, nothing too over the top.  Since it’s fairly matte, I use it to contour my face too, like I have demonstrated in the picture below – just under the cheekbones (I don’t do it near the ear), sides of the nose, jawline, forehead hairline, etc. It looks really nice just by itself or when I want added drama, I mix it with a pink blush. I learnt that trick from the Victoria’s Secret models.

This bronzer is finely milled and blends beautifully on the skin. I also love the fact that it is medium pigmented and does not have any orange undertones. It blends beautifully and does not settle in my pores. Also, I apply with a lighter hand, so that helps. With this, I did not notice any coagulation and I noticed that it looked better on me when I was not wearing any heavy makeup, just moisturizer and powder.  I just do a little swirl around the palette with a blush brush or a kabuki brush to pick up some color, dust it all over evenly and I’m set.

These days, I do it without mirror because I know I can’t go wrong with this.  Even when I contour with this, it stays for a long time and gives a lovely structured look to the face. It most definitely takes 5 years off the face. Really helps if you are taking those “special pics.” Packaging wise, it’s not that exciting. It has a simple golden round case which snaps shut, no brush. Don’t you gals love Chitrangada Singh,she rocks a bronzer so well!

• You don’t need to get full makeup on, you can apply a bronzer, so the n*de face looks put together.

• Too faced is a cruelty-free brand.

Cons of Too Faced Endless Summer 16 Hour Long Wear Bronzer:

• Definitely does not stay for 16 hours, why do cosmetic companies make such idiotic claims.
• This particular shade will suit light to medium skin tones.
• One can easily go overboard with a bronze, remember Serena VanDer Woodsen looks so much better than Snooki!!!

Verdict:

I really like Too Faced products, but honestly, keep a bronzer in your stash at all times 🙂
